Hague, Holland.
L/S of the Hague Cathedral. Cars, bicycles and people can be seen around it. M/S of the roof of the Cathedral, clock tower is seen on the left. Suddenly, a man appears and starts painting a detail on the roof. Man is as tall as the cathedral's clock tower. This is model of the cathedral, a part of Madurdam - the smallest city in the world.
M/S of the streets of the little city. Boy's head appears over the rooftops. A girl comes from the opposite side. It looks as if the children's pictures are fitted into a cartoon - strange. M/S of the young couple walking around the streets observing the little buildings. C/U shot of the children's faces as they observe the model buildings.
M/S of a boy and a girl (older then the previous two) in Dutch traditional costumes, walking around the model city. The boy steps over a building to join the girl. They look at the little town. M/S of the two looking at the buildings. Camera tilts down to show the canal filled with water. M/S of the little boy and the little girl from earlier, holding hands looking at the buildings. The girl has her skirt lifted for a second as she scratches her thigh - very sweet.
Several C/U shots of the streets showing cars, people, carts etc. M/S of a little girl looking through the window, trying to see what is inside these model houses. Long panning shot across the city - it is huge! And even has a funfair and windmill. The city has all forms of transport made to perfection: railway with perfect trains, tracks signals; motorway with lights, tunnels, petrol stations, all sorts of vehicles; airport with radar, people on the roof terrace, aeroplanes, passengers; port with all sorts of boats, merchant ships, large passenger liners, naval vassals, docks; and at the end - it looks as if it has its own Gulliver. A man in traditional costume wakes up, stands and walks towards the camera becoming bigger with every step.
