Between May and August 2022, I stayed in New York City for the first time. In fact, it was my first time out of Europe. This video aimed to document how it went as I was new to the NY market and no one knew me. I shot it in July and only uploaded it now (Feb '23) because I had to wait for the release of certain images.
Although I started filming this with the idea to show that it's been slow for me yet exciting nonetheless, things took an unexpected turn throughout the video. It can only show the ever changing nature of this job.
I hope this video can help you to understand the waves that constitute the schedule of a model, and perhaps motivate you to keep going despite the times of nothingness :)

You are such a sweet soul. I hope to see more videos from you because I really enjoy watching your experience working creatively in NYC!! I just moved out of the city this past fall- i was not having the best luck with work, but I miss it sometimes. Oh yes, it is such a joy indeed. But I totally get it, NYC is reputed for being full of opportunities and yet, sometimes they just don't fall on you, it's an odd feeling - in fact, it somehow will be the subject of my next video :D Ha ! Thank you ! It's slightly tricky because I have to remain professional on set, and I can't prioritise my RU-vid over whatever work I'm doing. Also, I don't want to be repetitive. But I'll try to get more somewhat unique/original videos of shootings out :)

Ha ! Yes. For now I’ll stay in furnished apartments, but I can’t wait to bring my touch to my own place soon. And thanks for the compliments ! It’s only been a couple weeks so I don’t miss London too much yet :) also NY has a lot to offer, so I’m very well entertained !

I'm not sure they are still available. Airbnb now has a rule enforcing 30 days minimum ! And lastly, the first one seems to be quite demanded. I hope this helped ! :D

Oh absolutely ! That is exactly why I moved here, but one must be ready for anything because not every story is an instant success story. I for one am an example (it may be the subject of my next video, in a way). This, however, does not change the fact that the opportunities here are truly global and more prestigious than what I had been getting on the regular in the past (in London).

@@sarahconnell Cool. When I did a few Picosure laser treatments that was the state.of the art for scarring. Dermaroller isn't bad as a cheaper option 🤩
