In this video we are going to look at a concept that seems to confuse middle school students each year: How is it possible to multiply a number and get an answer that is actually smaller?
To do this of course we would need to multiply a number by a fraction or decimal. In this video we model four different ways to multiply by a decimal and two ways to multiply by a fraction.
