The purpose of gel base is to make the gel color adhere more. Don't remove the sticky layer of the base

Don't use cuticle softener when using the cuticle remover tool. You'll end up not getting any. Use it first when your hands are dry and it will work wonders! ❤️

You 100% should NOT be removing the sticky later, that's what makes base coat work it's like glue that hugs the gel polish to the nail.
