This is a modern day take on the possibles kit carried by the mountain men and various frontiersmen. It contains items that are useful in a variety of different ways. I have carried them for many years and find them to be helpful when in the outdoors.

Great ideas. One thing I do will the pill bottle is layer the pills with some cotton balls, not only to keep the pills from breaking up, but for fire starting as well. Also, meds go bad after awhile so it helps to write the date on the outside and change them out every now and then. Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into these videos, especially the more recent Stanley green cup series, which I can't recommend enough. Good stuff!

You carry a fine assortment of gear from the few videos I've watched today. Being a smaller guy with hip problems, I have to keep my pack weight 20lbs or less. Before I head out I have to ask myself what my objectives are for that day and carry accordingly. Redundancy is nice but weight intensive. Subbed.

i have still sealed up in the packet the large safety pins in my bag which can be used to clean out open wounds of grit, stones , wood or even metal or plastic fragments. i used these in the combat field of opp`s many years ago. Smaller type pins from fresh opened packets can also be used to pin up and close open and split up flesh wounds too when the need dictates. Seeing you open your little bag brought back memories mostly good ones and here is one more,`the small pins convert into nice fishing hooks too that being so shiny do not even require bait, which is handy say if one is in an open boat.' However i am waffling on, so i will close. i thank you for your posting . Stay safe . BB from the UK

I've found old abandoned houses in the wilderness and many still have a porcelain toilet. In a pinch those squatters make an excellent soup cooker. It cooks quickly and evenly. If you've plopped a big loaf of beef in porcelain then fire it up and enjoy the rewards of brown stew!

For the most part a decent kit but I still can't understand why people carry a pill bottle. If its in a kit you don't often look at it would be easy to forget which pill is which, additionally if someone needed to medicate either themselves or you from your kit it could be counter productive and essentially perhaps hazardous for you or them. I don't know about in America but here we're always recommended to keep medication in its packaging, for me that means the little strip they come in. This way you know exactly what is what and what it is used for. Otherwise a well rounded kit.
@WayPointSurvival
@WayPointSurvival 3 года назад
Each pill is marked from the factory as to what it is. Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Aspirin and Benadryl. No prescription medication in this, just simple over the counter stuff. So, no need to carry them in individual packaging. Thank you for watching, for the compliment and for your stated concerns.
@neilmckay7586
