As most, if not all of the Rosicrucian current, Levi had a Christian element in his philosophy/practice; just not the Christianity of the popular churches. He always strove for a unification of Freemasonry and Christianity, trying to get the Roman Catholic church to be open to esoteric and Hermetic thought.

Except for drawing the Baphomet and the inclusion of tarot inside the whole system of "occult sciences", I struggle to see where he was original in any way. The theory of astral light come from the medieval arabic magic of the Picatrix, the system of sympathy and correspondances come from late antiquity magic and is very common in hermeticism, his perenialism was already the dogma of the Renaissance esotericists, etc... Like always in modern esotericism, his toughts are so confuse and baroque that's it's nearly impossible to distinguish clearly what could be their core and main points.
@jeanblique389 He's widely credited with starting the French occult revival. His efforts were many and the correspondences he drew between the 22 Major Arcana of the Tarot and the 22 paths between the Sephira on the Kabalistic Tree of Life alone were enough to call him "original," in my opinion.

In his private correspondence with Israel Regardie, MacGregor Mathers described Levi as an amateur in ceremonial magic. Someone who could endanger his own life, and the lives of others while trying to perform Abramelin occult ritual. Just like Crowley, who was a drifter living at the expenses of others, Levi died in extreme poverty. So much for the myth of the powerful magician....

Aristotle thought a Virtue taken to an extreme becomes a Vice. One's own opinions are their own. Anti-egotism causes harm and may facilitate cracking the individual, which leads to schizophrenia, or other disorders. So certain in your dogma. Us who you consider damned will never fall onto obedience. Neither are you obedient when faced with life versus death or radical loss. How much would you say Constance/Levi's lack of knowledge of Hebrew in general, and Kabbalah in particular compromises the value of his work? As influential as he is, I'd rather not waste too much of my time on a madman's particular flavor of esotericism.
I believe you can get some decent knowledge from from if you have previously studied so you can weed out what is does not add up. So I wouldn’t recommend his works if you haven’t read on the subject before , but I would recommend eventually taking a look. Hope this helps
