They assail drilling platforms with high-speed boats, seizing foreign nationals for future ransom negotiations. In 2015, a total of 73 such attacks occurred, leading to the abduction of 62 individuals. They represent the contemporary era of piracy, redefining kidnapping as a profitable enterprise, and viewing themselves as modern-day Robin Hood figures. Their primary targets are oil companies, which they accuse of exploiting the nation's natural resources without reciprocation. In this documentary, we followed soldiers, sailors, and pirates over several months, joining them on their raids to unveil their operational methods.

I think this is the issue of corporations in general - the guys who climb to the top are the psychopaths who feel like they're omnipotent...and I think they get a perverted sense of power from exploiting others (employees, natural resources, other countries...). Helping a person or community diminishes this sense. If this sounds too cynical - I worked for a retailer that was supposed to donate food before expiry to asylums for single mothers etc., but they didn't wanna do it as it seemed marginally more expensive than liquidating. Only after I calculated that donating it actually saves money did they actually agree to donate some.

The problem is that during this whole documentary he never pointed out the main problem which led/leads these pirates to do things like this in the first place -- which is corruption and instability started and funded by the Western colonies themselves. Actually he even ignored it, when the pirate himself pointed it out. Had they focused instead their investments on such countries to help them get back on their feet, there wouldn't be corruption of this level. That'd be the least they could do after colonizing and robbing these people.

Now here's the most beautiful love story: Me and you? Though we have fallen short of the glory of God by comitting just one sin which we deserve death and hell for, the Good News is that God loved us soo much that He, All-Powerful and All-Knowing Spirit came to earth in a human body as Jesus Christ, the fullness of God bodily, to live a perfect life keeping and fulfilling all laws and commandments, not sinning ONCE, and then sacrificing Himself on a cross for YOU! By shedding His Blood, He paid the penalty for your sin so that you could be washed clean from all sins and develop a personal relationship with God and spend eternity together with Him in Heaven. How awesome is that?! That's God's grace. All you have to do to accept His gift of grace is turn away from your sin and believe that Jesus is God, He shed His precious Blood for you and He is risen from the dead, He's in full control of your life that He rules over you. It's not by works or being a good person, it's only by God's grace through faith in Him. Jesus desires a personal relationship with you. Wow that is so incredible!
