What modern fan Sonicsta failed to acknowledge is that we have the Frontiers road map, Prime, and the Murder of Sonic, so technically both sides are well fed.

As someone who prefers Modern Sonic over Classic Sonic, I can confirm that this isn't accurate to how I feel about Sonic Superstars. What I can confirm is that this is a great skit!
I would’ve preferred a 2D Modern Sonic game, but Superstars looks amazing 🤩 Sonic Frontiers update 3 will satiate my Modern Sonic fix. Also, I’m sure the next 3D mainline Sonic game will definitely get the spot for the social media pfp.

I honestly want to see more modern sonic games. I’m really excited to see superstars. I’m glad they put classic sonic in superstars instead putting modern sonic in superstars. Great skit. I definitely think you should do more of these videos. This video definitely gave me laughs. I’m so happy they didn’t just throw classic sonic out after origins came out.
As a Classic Sonic fan, I am really hype about Superstars, even though I enjoy Frontiers I just think it is time to change the formula, I mean we really haven't had a classic sonic game in six years which is a really long time, since Sega didn't want a Mania 2, this is a game that us classic fans want plus having Fang back, Amy playable, having local and online play is just mind blowing especially for a Sonic game !

Honestly I like Classic and Modern almost equally (although Adventure Era is by far my fav). I mind the fact they made the new Classic game 2.5D more than the fact they made another classic. That and I think they haven't managed to completely replicate the tone of that CD opening yet, which is Classic at it's best, or even the feel of 3K Also I think it would just make sense if they just said Generations and Mania/Forces lead to their own timeline instead of making it take place after 3K. I feel like that might lead to continuity problems. But for this game specifically I mostly have no problems, I just am less personally interested when it looks like this instead of like the Classics, or a hand drawn style.

This was a really funny skit. Nice work. While I would’ve liked a Modern Sonic 2D game, I’m not against Sonic Superstars. If anything, I’m really looking forward to playing it this Fall. I’ve already preordered it too for the Switch.
I get its a skit lol but serioussness ...... Perfect representation of why i stay away from the fanbase cuz they are a problem and prevent sonic to evolve also they dont know that why modern sonic exists well its all thanks to oshima cuz uekawa would completly redesign sonic but thanks to oshima they kept the look and reffined the ears , long spikes , green eyes pupil , long legs , long shoes. This franchise will never return to its former glory wth this fanbase ofc sega is now stop carying about the fanbase as a hole so less spoiled people , less controversies .
I grew up in the Genesis era and I'll always love those games, but that doesn't mean I'm not sick of seeing Classic Sonic nowadays. I think the vibes around Classic Sonic would be a little bit different for Modern enjoyers if he wasn't used as such an obvious crutch or nostalgia bait in the 3D mainline games. Hopefully with the franchise in a better spot following the movies, Frontiers, and Prime, we can see successful, separate releases for both Classic AND Modern Sonic. Sonic Superstars does look lit, honestly. Either way, I'm in this skit and I don't like it. EDIT: Also it's really funny because back in the 90's/early 2000s when Sonic made the leap from 2D to 3D, there was no 'classic' and modern distinction. We all just kinda accepted that one Sonic had green eyes and the other didn't, but it was all the same deal. I don't really recall seeing a clear split between the two until after the release of Generations, tbh.

@@espurrseyes42 The "milking Classic Sonic" is also extreme: not sure if anyone remembers but they usually point the Classics as an "positive excuse", like, ignoring the modern, especially after the release of Mania. But it gets worse: when Forces released, the design of Modern Sonic is close to Classic Sonic, with its fur color more "light" and shorter quills, slowly killing the "modern" design (which they seem to have accomplished now). And I even remember hearing something where they finally drop the towel to admit "we" don't like the classic stages, confirming they forced us to like the Classic era. Oh, and Green Hill 24/7...
I hate the 3D classic model, it's too small and baby-like, it lacks the badass quality like the mid '90s or Sonic CD. The modern Sonic is too outdated, more polygons, but the same model nonetheless, I prefer 06's model. Superstars at least looks like a fun game, I'd say I'm excited. Also I'm a secret SEGA Ninja apprentice.
And this is why I’m an overall Sonic Fan, cause belonging to one or the other is just exhausting, I’d rather enjoy whatever Sonic game comes out, regardless if it’s Classic, Modern, or whatever else version of the Blue Blur stars in it
@@espurrseyes42 Classic Sonic came from the past and the Modern Sonic takes place in the future. In Generations and Forces, classic Sonic came from the past timeline to meet Sonic from the future which is modern Sonic. Generations made that clear and that kept consistent in the future games. Even Sonic Origins confirm that Sonic Adventure takes place after the classic Sonic games in the same universe due to the Sonic Origins ending scene showing the city Station Square. Not to mention modern Sonic games before Generations mention that the events of the classic Sonic games did happen within its universe and it's the same Sonic who did those events. It's the same Sonic. It's just that Sonic grown a bit older, taller, and has green eyes.
@@retrofan4963 Forces states that Classic is from another dimension. Which regardless of how you want to take that, that at least means there's a separate Sonic time running parallel to the Modern one. They're two separate entities. And Sega apparently sees it that way since they feel the need to treat Classic like his own character, shoehorning him into everything and giving him new games.
Try being like Mighty Keef in your skits. This skit was funny but I think you can do even funnier if you watch Mighty Keef Like at 1:44 you should have made yourself more dramatic and like drop yourself or something. I laughed at when he got angry that was really good I give this video 8.5/10

They just tell me that I need to 'get over my nostalgia' for the post-1999 Crash games and to basically stop enjoying any of them, all while they themselves can't get over their own nostalgia for the Naughty Dog ones. They're just a bunch of elitist, hypocritical dipsticks, and I despise them with every fibre of my being.
As modern Sonic fan I'm even more salty than this because I didn't even like Sonic frontier and only two things Sega can satisfy me is Persona3 remake which coming right next year but why UNLEASH NEVER GET REMASTER!!!!

I think we need to change the naming scheme! I propose we call Classic Sonic: Modern Sonic as he is becoming a mainstay in the series. And for Modern Sonic: call him Sonic PRIME, as he is the titular character of the Sonic franchise! Let Classic Sonic have the modern name tag, and Modern Sonic is the “Prime” Sonic (see what I did there? 🤣)
This was my reaction. I'm most likely gonna enjoy it but a part of me is disappointed that we didn't get another Sonic Advance game or Sonic Rush/Colors DS/Generations 3DS type game. Edit: To be clear, I did not atempt to storm SegaSammy Headquarters, also I am aware that canonically Sonic Superstars and Sonic Mania take place in a pre-Pocket Adventure alternate universe where the events of every other Classic Sonic game have already taken place and do not focus on the main universe Sonic shown in all pre-Mania games, including Classic Sonic from Generations, who is Sonic from the time of Sonic 2 to around the time after Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles.
This is totally me, personally I don't care much for classic sonic or the old games, I prefer modern sonic much more because his design is better and the characters have more personality and storylines.
I know everyone is so excited about Superstars, personally, I was like "Oh wow, more classic sonic, yay I guess...." I just want more modern Sonic. Please, just make a new modern game!!!
I prefer classic sonic and that guy annoyed me and I think there should be more classic sonic related things since classic just feels missing cuz back then there used to be a consistant stream of classic sonic games but now for classic it's just a desert
There are so many interpretations of Sonic beyond merely modern and classic, and that's half the fun to me. You got Junio, Archie, Satam, Classic, Modern, 90's US, 90's Japan, Boom, Riders, etc etc etc. Sonic exists on a spectrum, there's no hard and fast "true" Sonic so I sincerely have no problem if they keep cycling through the different variants rather than sticking to a single look
As a fan of Sonic in general: Yay! Sonic is getting new games! that's so good! i wish i could say the same for Rayman, Banjo-Kazooie, Sly Cooper and Donkey Kong. oh, people are complaining that their favorite franchise is getting more stuff? ok... i guess.

When I first played gens as a kid I literally called Classic Sonic as "small sonic" or "baby sonic" and yeah I prefer modern Sonic over classic and I know that it's wierd but I would be way more hyped if the game was modern Sonic what's even wierder is that I'm actually hyped for update 3 more than Superstars (not that I hate Super stars, but I'm kinda tierd of classic sonic because he always gets the praise from game cretics while modern Sonic is being hated on)
