The hypocrisy well portrayed!

Less gravitas witout the jacket

Kam Chak Fai, Jack 249 Obvious from the title, this sonnet is addressing the incident in Hong Kong where people were enraged that boars were culled, all through the perspective of a factory pig. It points out the irony of people being upset about a few wild boars being killed in the wild while millions of pigs were being systematically slaughtered in factories, lived their whole lives with the sole purpose of being processed and sold as meat. It wouldn’t be fair to them that tears were shed only over wild boars (which posed a danger to society) being culled, and this is yet another case of hypocrisy and virtue signalling, people took advantage of the culling of wild boars and got to the moral high ground, offering no help in the process whatsoever, and worst of all they would still happily accept bacons and pork as their meals and have absolutely no idea about the irony of it. This may be wrong but it could also be a criticism in general to the fact that people were suffering on a day to day basis in third world countries, warzones or disaster-stricken sites yet people only pointed out how cruel it is for them yet no help was ever offered.
