Use the names of obstacles and tricks. That made me stop recording because I don't want viewers. My channel became a documentary about corporate fascist government corruption. Skating is just part of my iron body training.
So dope and unexpected that you became this portal to the Japanese youth. Doing great work for skateboarding and bridging gaps. Good on ya, Giger. Hope those kids love getting featured on your channel.
@cameronshwartz1677 i know. I skate because i enjoy it not to be the best. But at the same time, it's like damn these little kids are next level for that age.
Reminded me of a lil kid I used to see at CJ's Skatepark in Ontario Canada who was better than anyone there almost always and just absolutely shredded every obstacle effortlessly and he was only 8 or 9, was wild to see at the time I was around 14. I'm talkin steezed out stalefish across the whole 15ft half pipe getting a good 2 seconds of airtime for warmup. Kid had it. Wonder where he is now...
The Japanese are so polite and dedicated with everything.. but also super proud. Its no surprise that their culture and attitude melds perfectly into quality skateboarding. My son is half Japanese and I cant wait for him to be old enough to jump on the board! Thanks JG
Amazing!!! That little lady was absolutely adorable and NO FEAR. They're all so great already and so humble. All the time and effort they put in really shows, keep up the hard work and we will see all of you again, on the winners podium one day.
"Skateboarding in Japan is just different" followed by a NUJABES theme. Just goosebumps to my soul. Don't really know about kids in other countries but it really seems that in Japan, a lot of kids are good at it. Maybe its due to their discipline and dedication. Then you can see that they really enjoy themselves and just go at it. Such a blast to see them!
Unreal how much power Ao was generating for such a little guy. That was some big air. They are all so good the next gen of skaters are already so impressive. They need to add Vert to the olympics too and a medal for SKATE too that would be cool.
was very rare to see kids skating this young in the 80's and even the 90's, seeing kids ripping and shredding this early blows my mind.... the city i live in never invested in parks, always bickered and squabbled about money and insurance cost but always wasting money away on nonsensical investments. Happy for these kids having this so the can shred and become better👏👏👏
Japan is different because the majority of the people over there are well structured. Structured in the sense of taking the initiative to do very well in anything they do. For example, being the best in their schooling (if you will). On top of that, they’re more respectful, well mannered, & responsible. Compared to America (where I live), the majority of the people here are the complete opposite. It’s sad. Because of self entitlement & only thinking about themselves. And again, the MAJORITY of the Americans are like that. Not every single solitary person are like that. The country folks are the nicest compared to the city folks.
Thank you so much for this video, your entire series about the skating scene in Japan is awesome. The talent you have been able to find is just insane, I have high hopes for the future of skateboarding. It looks like this video did not get the usual views which is super sad, especially with the amount of effort you put in each and every video. Hoping the RU-vid algorithm will help you next time, being so dependent on an AI is the dystopian future we all fear but actually is already here… Liebe Grüße in die Schweiz
ru-vid.comK31pBOAG8-k?si=jgHqXYihqmk7kN2N Nollie bs 360 late front foot heel flip. I need to see you try this. Like this if you want Jonny to try this one.
I used to blade back in the 90s - early 00s. But whether you were a blader, boarder, bmxer... it was all sick, we all supported each other, and the sense of comradery is second to none. I managed to get to a pretty decent level by my late teens, early 20s... But... When I see stuff like this, from lil dudes this age... My jaw hits the floor. Absolutely phenomenal.
fascinating how different the same thing (skating) is in other places. no one can deny how incredible those kids are. and who are we to judge something we dont know about first hand. super interesting, thanks!
Oh man. What a video. These kids are just wild. As an ex vert skater from the 90s I can understand the difficulty of some of what they can do, although nobody was doing kick flips on vert in my day. The alley op kick flip backside disaster slide to revert. Oh, boy, that’s mind blowing. I also understand Jonny's issue with backside airs. They used to scare the crap, out of me. I could Madonna at 6 ft out on a very ramp, I could do 5-0 to fakie and Ollie blunt shuffles, but the smallest backside air used to scare me to death. It was the concept of over-rotation and going backwards onto my head that I couldn’t really get to grips with.
Hi Jonny, I get a 404 site when I click on your pro model link. Also the EU version of the shredquarters seems to be not working. I ride your decks scince years, but its becoming harder to get them in germany, just a friedly hint. And thanks for the lovely content! Very enjoyable, as always!
The Japanese are just built different. At like 6 I bet these kids know its dreams or bust. Where bust is unwavering dedication to some shitty job and low sleep. Really puts some pep in their step... kick.. whatever.
Johnny you might need some help editing these videos, you have incredible footage and you're like a skate journalist over there in Japan. I love the video but there could be so much more to it especially because you have more footage, hit me up!
Japanese kids are absolutely smashing it recently, especially given that skateboarding is still very much seen as for delinquents and there really aren't many places for people to skate.
I think its easier to do skating when you are a child. You are lightweight and have a low center of gravity. Its way harder if you are 6 feet and over 200 lbs
Does this not prove skateboarding is about skill and not strength? If a kid that has not hit puberty can be this good why cant girls be better at skateboarding I wounder?
Our dream in a past past paaaaassstt couple of year ..disaat orang tua, dan masyarakat serta pemerintah setempat mendukung hobi bakat kita saat anak2 dulu dalam skateboarder 😢🥲😍😍😍 ...terharu
I also like to do kickflip back lip in the big ramp at twelve years old. Just kid stuff you know? edit: I of course also enjoy doing 540 flips from time to time.
Wow love too see the Video im half japan in my young time was a skater too is very nice too see the New generation wonderfull tankyou very much for this Video my Hero was Steve cabalero
