Some of the true blue Ford enthusiasts out there might say Andrew had to be out of his mind to shoehorn an LS engine between the fenders of his ’67 Cougar. We would have to disagree, especially with the Holley Hi-ram poking through the hood! This is what we love about LS Fest. Andrew is just one of the very many different types of enthusiasts this event brings out of the woodwork.

Awesome documentary about your Cougar Andrew! Your attention to detail is what makes that Cougar unique and a head-turner. I've ridden in this car and it's dead nuts reliable and is a blast to drive. There is so much more to this car than the documentary shows.

Love the 67'-68' Cougars and I am a Mopar Guy. They are just so unique and cool looking. Wish He would have told the Hp.

I have a 67 that I'm restoring/mild customizing. I wish my car had the cool patina yours does. Mine has as a poorly done older restoration, but there is almost zero rust. So, I've got good bones to do whatever. I love love love what you have done with your car. You kept the cool and replaced what wasn't with some more cool. Kudos, brah!

I like how one of the first shots is him getting smoked. Humility.

No shame in getting smoked by a 10 second, wheelie popping COPO

The Camaro redlighted... but I agree with projectgattago, no shame being beat by a dedicated race car.

Yeah I love it, that’s true hot roding! Taking the most available/affordable best performing engine and putting it in your car regardless of brand. Screw brand loyalty, just make it fast 😁

kind of dumb putting a Chevy in a car like that.
@jdmonly87
@jdmonly87 8 лет назад
no kidding, I'm a ford guy and there is now way is put a ford motor in 67 chevelle or impala but I think there's some cars you just don't crossbreed then some others I couldn't care less about

Passion knows no bounds fellas. Let your inner "car guy" out and let him be free. You might, just might, come up with something cool. I'm a Chevy guy too, and get what you're saying, but this is one cool car. The LS platform, its reliability, and aftermarket support is a match made in Heaven with this ol' Cougar. Rock on dudes.

Not at all. The LS is the perfect engine to put in that car and to not have to do any major fabrication to the front end suspension. Can't do that with a late model Ford motor - you HAVE to remove the shock towers if you use the Coyote motor. Why cut up the car if you don't have to.
@jdmonly87
@jdmonly87 8 лет назад
would have been better with a Cleveland or a Windsor. or could have just done some cutting for a modular engine. just because its easier doesn't mean its better
@jdmonly87

James Ford 351w or 351c stoker would be cooler but for efi a coyote with forced induction would be cool

love it. I have a 68 cougar 2 owner 53k miles all original that I drive all summer. I put new floors in it a couple years ago, it needs new quarters but can't find any. at least not that I can afford. your lucky yours looks solid. these are rust buckets 99% of the time.
@projectgattago

This car is really solid. There are a few areas that have some surface rust, but that's about it.

Let me buy your cougar so I can drain the oil out of that Chevy engine in front of you and laugh hysterically as I full throttle that pile as it explodes. Then take car home telling her it’s ok your away from the bad man.

This is just the modern day equivalent of a small block Chevy in a Model A or B roadster, so quit whinging.

What a disgrace to a classic mercury put a Ford in a built by Ford vehicle why not a 427 Cleveland or Windsor stroker cubic inch to cubic inch the Ford engine will make more Horsepower just look at how a 5.0 mustang gives 6.0 LS camaro everything it wants and comes out on top more than most GM owners will admit!!! #Blue Oval Nation
