Modern Warfare 2 - Killstreaks Up Close! 

How's everyone feeling now that the game has been out for a couple weeks?

I have props for them actually designing kill streaks that are actually detailed,like the cruse missile that you can’t really see up close.

The care package heli has the Armistice emblem from MW19’s Co-op mode and the letters, “WZ22” on it. WZ22 likely means Warzone 2 (2022).

The Counter UAV information sticker having “FU NRA” is hilarious! 😂

Any time you see a low-res model with chunks missing/see-through parts, it means it was an "auto-LOD" model - its Level Of Detail was dropped via a program making best-guess picks on what vertices to drop to simplify the model. You can't get a detailed version to load either 'cuz your actual player position is still back in-bounds (so it's using a low LOD model) or because they just manually set it to load at a low LOD because they knew it'd never be close enough to be more than a few pixels. \

I absolutely love this content, so original and fascinating to watch, shit I'd never have thought I'd wanted.

imagine if you could destroy the mgb in ground war once an enemy holds all flags to just have the game go on forever, like having your whole team line up with tanks on a hill to take it down as soon as it spawns lmao

As someone who designs this stuff for games, I have to give a massive thank you! a lot of this work and days spent designing this stuff often goes unnoticed.

The "no step" is accurate af. As an active duty soldier I see that on all kinds of shit from the air intake on humvees to parts of an lmtv

I wonder, if you shoot down the chopper gunner with bullets, the cutscene would show the pilot dead, so im wondering if you can see the pilot dead when you look at it up close Edit: Also, idk if it's just me, but i believe i can see blood out of the chopper gunner once i shot it down with bullets

Note: the MGB definitely isn't a nuke. This video just excites me for future updates in graphics for games. I'm excited for every single match to look like pre rendered campaign cutscenes.

Let's face it the only reason they added detailed killstreaks is so we could all enjoy you making vids on them

I really do like that they are focusing less on the details no one would see in a normal game and more on the actual game

It's interesting to see the things that have way too much detail and the things with very little detail. With the UAV and advanced UAV it doesn't make sense for them to have much detail when they are so far away. From that distance you won't be able to see the details but also want them to use as little computational performance as possible. A lot of the air to land killstreak(Mortars, airstrike bombs, cruise missile etc) probably have a lot of detail because they may be used as props in other areas of the game. Some of the aerial vehicles have reduced poly count models most likely because they moving too fast to make out small details and also that they only exist for a small period of time, to reduce impact on performance. Most of the aerial vehicles don't appear to have pilots because we will almost never be able to see them. The care package heli is an outlier where the cockpit is so open, we should be able to see a pilot but none have been put in it. The reason the chopper gunner has a pilot is that when you activate the killstreak, you get a short glimpse at the pilot before getting control of the gun. Although it would be nice for everything to be super defined it is not necessary, but also saves them development time to put into more important details.

When in private match, play hard point and switch killstreaks to score streaks,juggle the hard point. Much faster than killing

The killstreaks in MW 2 are good looking im happy that the kill streaks that you litteraly cant see like the counter UAV is realy low reselution. But there are still some great reselustion for them even when you cant se them in gameplay. But still the cold war killstreak are so mutch bether and more detailed than the mw 2 is.

They put all those useless details on that tiny counter UAV yet they don't put a pilot in the cockpit of the overwatch helo..

Cruise Missile: a big ATGM Overwatch: a Mil Mi-24/Mi-25 with 4 UB-32 rocket pods that hold 30 instead of 32 Rockets. Also the ATGM racks are just cylindrical, the miissiles in them have no visible fins, but the positioning is accurate SAE:; HORRIBLY inaccurate Su-25 with 2 B8M1 rocket pods (inaccurate placement), 4 Gun pods (normally not used with the S5 and S8 Rockets), kind of accurate air brakes, but the real Su-25 doesn't have canards! Also too few hardpoints (4 are missing). Bomb is accurate Stealth Bomber: a B-2 with too flat air intakes. Also: Flares leave behind a white trail, not a black one! The B-2 also doesn't have afterburners irl, and the plane is bigger and has more complex wings Avanced UAV: french nEUROn, too low quality to say if it's inaccurete. Could be another drone model. VTOL Jet: Inaccurate Harrier. the IRL one has round intakes, the wings look different, the plaane looks rounder irl and the rotary cannon would be ripped off the plane due to the speed of the plane. Also the Nozzles don't have afterburner and actually rotate to generate lift Mortar strike: mortar rounds are too short, they are more stretched irl Care package: Heli: Airbus Helicopters EC635 with missing fuselage section and missing doors. The Air outlets look weird, unlike with the real one Package: a crate. go study the science of crates. Airstrike: A10 with too few hardpoints Chopper Gunner: AH64 but the engines are too short in length and are placed too far back and the rear rotor looks too small Gunship: If A400M and AC130 had a baby, I'm not gonna list the inaccuracies here MGB: Vertical firing from those wings... Also the missiles look like someone combined a Mk85 and a rocket engine The drone: a flat RQ-4

I love the details the devs put in their game but I have a question. Since they are detailing jets and helicopters that much, is it really that much of a hassle to add a really basic pilot/co-pilot to their models? Any reason why the aircraft models are without any human models?

Wonder if VTOL or Wheelson or Gunship are faction specific (I know Wheelson and Gunship (paintjob) were faction specific in MW2019)

the close ups of the bomb drone weren't needed with how much i'm seeing it up close in this game

just saying im pretty sure you could turn them into scorestreaks and play hardpoint with a score multiplier

I mean I would like if they put a bit more effort into the mgb launch system cause all it looks like is a uav that spawns javelin missiles in front of it that smack into the ground and end the game

the detail in this game really goes underappreciated, nut the issues really do overshadow the otherwise beautiful game sometimes currently :/

If your hit by a thermite while using riot sheild can you swap weapons with a weapon on the ground and will that thermite go with the riot shield?
