Modern Warfare is better than Cold War 

Cold war had less time to polish up, considering the fact activision made an impossible deadline for a triple a game competing against modern warfare WARNING: replies are a warzone ( no pun intended)

I can't leave my damn spawn in Cold War without some retard camping in a corner. At least in MW there was like 1 or 2 people camping every 5 matches. Cold War has at least 5 campers in every single match I've played.

@@TheAkrillion It is prooven by the devs that they intended to make the game newbie friendly and favour tactical gameplay with the implementation of peeking and more hiding spots which lead to the amounts of campers in the game. To say it in another way, they fucked it up.

Also, a shift from jetpacks and advanced movement to boots on the ground is what kickstarts this shit, because newcomers get scared to go out there and fight without jumping around like Fortnite kids.

CW is just animated arms, whilst MW is animated everything, like CW looks like the characters are stiff boards running around a map, where as MW the characters look like real people running around a map, MW got me back to CoD, CW made me hate it again

@0 0 its more so Treyarch games been out almost half a year and it just entered beta, IW actually put care into their game just as Bungie did on the original halo games AND 343i love em or hate them they put love and work into their games, treyarch just throws games out into the wild and SHG does the same CoD should move away from yearly release games and focus on 1 game for a couple years then release a new one, would've benefited greatly from that on CW thats for sure

But noo! Everything has a time constraint which causes games to be rushed! If you can't make it to the time you expected it to be completed by, just apologize and delay and the game will be okay (but not the fan bases, we don't like games being rushed or delayed)

its because CW is re-using the first person animation for its 3rd person one, where as MW has a 3rd Person and First Person Reload. I would just call laziness but I'm sure we all know how rocky the development was for CW its not the animators fault just not enough time to polish it unlike MW which is pretty damn polished.

But "lack of polish" absolutely doesn't excuse so many of the utterly awful intentional decisions in the details department. Shotguns being pumped after every reload, a 20-round M16 holding 30 rounds, "extended mag" revolver cylinders, revolvers with suppressors, not to mention all of the bizarre extended mag options, where slapping some tape on your mag makes it hold twice as much ammo, just as a few. There's also the hilariously sad attachment descriptions, that read like the put vaguely firearm-related terms in a blender ("smoothbore rifled" barrels, "anti-infantry" barrels that do more damage to vehicles, so many more). If Treyarch could work with Infinity Ward and create a COD that extends over a couple of years, rather than releasing a new one every year, and it was perfected, it would be amazing.

The only kind of so-so one is the charging sound of Rytec, which sounds a bit plasticky, but far from being bs like Cold War's MP5...

Dude... I hate to say it but that's how every treyarch game is. It's a worse version of an Infinity Ward title whether it be graphically, gameplay wise, or even story wise. Of course there are some exceptions like comparing Ghosts to Black Ops 3 in the graphics department but that's about it. Hell, Infinity Ward did a better job with the movement system and storytelling in Infinite Warfare.

@@lordfist111 I don’t agree with this argument tho, yeah it’s true with the classic cods, cod4/waw and mw2/bo1 is debatable, but BO2 was such a great cod that even tho Ghosts was a nice upgrade from MW3 it still felt like shit, BO3 was the greatest of the jetpack era, Infinite warfare was literally just a copy of BO3 mechanics but made worse. Infinity ward and Treyarch can both deliver amazing games if they are given enough dev time.

100% cold war is almost unplayable, every lobby i had, had at least one guy laying down with some kind of weapon and just does nothing and the rest is just mostly camping…so, so sad…

The CW M82 reload lacked any "weight" to it, wiggling the gun around willy nilly. Keep in mind the gun is 30~ lbs.

@@NopeD Yeah. The reload difference isn't a "technical" issue (both are mechanically correct), it's more of a *quality and feel* issue. Something a lot of game animations can't quite get right (but MW excels at) is giving the weapons a sense of weight and inertia.

I regret buying MW for the multiplayer but 50% of the spent money I can forgive myself just because it looks stunning and feels satisfying. Althought I hit good movement in MW and learned how to quickscope in MW it could have been so much better id the devs didn't decide to make it Newbie and camper friendly. Just look at the map remakes where they added peeking spots so some boring players can just chill there the whole game ruining your streak and fun while you want to rush around.

Rumor mill these days says Vanguard is still going to be delayed. So it's not hard to imagine how broken their game was last year, especially if rushing Treyarch was somehow the more feasible option. I'm sure Treyarch wanted the full 3 year cycle to fine tune Cold War, but Sledgehammer fucked their game up real bad and Activision forced Treyarch to cover last year's CoD release.

I also think some of the stuff can be excused because they were supposed to have sledge hammer working on the game together, but they were pulled out to work on vanguard. And while vanguard was being developed, they had to take the 2020 launch which was earlier than expected. I believe if they did have the extra time it probably could've turned out better.

People out there really comparing between a game with more than 2 years of development and a game was developed in 8 months also during the pandemic.

COLD War does not have bad graphics, this guy has them disabled in the middle and shadows, apart from that he only has non-detailed animations (roboticized)

That is why before season 6 the guns inspections in MW is just simple because they had only a little bit time to do it, putting a styles inspection of a gun can cost time and sometimes details. I'm pretty sure that IW are well aware of it unlike 3arch who had only a year despite the tight schedule. Season 6 and after are the proof that if they only had enough time before, they could have put a styles inspections of the guns in MW.

They did do a lot of things wrong. These are all valid reasons imo as to why someone would dislike mw.

Same, I really want soap and the raal lmg and cx9 in mw. I wish they had never integrated Cold War with warzone. All it has done is make the mw guns barring a few obsolete. I just wish that they had delayed Cold War and gave it the time it needed and in that time release loads of content for mw, that’s what they should’ve done. Cw is such a disappointment

@@1_ninetytwo no, it’s the development time, Cold War uses the bo3 engine and if they had full development, it could of surpassed the MW engine.

If my memory is right, it was actually 1 year of development because it was supposed to be a Sledgehammer game and there was something going on between them and Raven Software. So Activision made Treyarch take over for last year.

Not to mention the pandemic which affected development of pretty much every game this year lol

I completely agree with you Modern Warfare has some of the best gun gameplay I've ever seen. I sometimes will sit there and take a pistol and just reloade it over and over again just to see how accurate and detailed it is. Also when you play as Farrah, the detail and animations in the reloads of the pistol are phenomenal, they're different from all the other operators. It looks exactly like it would if a girl with smaller hands who didn't have enough training would reload a pistol.

Dude there two games that use an almost identical engine. Its just one game has more polish

engine is the same as warzone, modern warfare, cold war is the same as iw engine engine does not affect the details, but the developer execution is the game

@@normalguy5296 No mounting, no stopping power, higher ttk makes it feel waay better and more "fair", better attachements balance, less annoying streaks and GREAT perk balance.

@@jortepap it's not just the sounds bro, visuals, sounds, animations, weapons, game modes. the only thing I could really give cold war is being a faster game, but other than that I prefer mw2019 over it. Cw got boring after a bit of playing and the meta always came clear and there was barely any balance also the maps were kinda balls
