Sie verkaufen selbstgekochte Drogen im Internet, schreiben Mode-Blogs und steigern den Marktwert ihres Körpers im Fitnessstudio, obwohl sie den Markt verachten. Sie kommunizieren per Skype, SMS, Chat oder Telefon, und doch bleibt da ein Gefühl von überwältigender Einsamkeit. Eine junge Frau bilanziert in Sibylle Bergs «Text für eine Person und mehrere Stimmen» ihr bisheriges Leben: früher Mitglied einer brutalen Mädchengang, heute friedlich Yoga, früher unbeholfenes Knutschen mit Jungs im Zeltlager, heute Gender-Fragen und die Projekte «Sex» und «Liebe» mit Männern oder Frauen, früher hochfliegende Ideale, heute Pragmatismus. Sehnsucht ist etwas, das man hauptsächlich aus Filmen kennt, Familie ein Verbund, den man sich selbst zusammenstellt, und immer lauert draußen die Welt, stellt Forderungen und diktiert Bilder, denen man unmöglich genügen kann.
Gnadenlos und zugleich mit großer Zärtlichkeit porträtiert Sibylle Berg vier Frauen Anfang 20, die - schwankend zwischen Aggression und Apathie, Aufbruch und Abgeklärtheit - unsicher sind, wofür sie kämpfen sollen, und bei denen schon das Wort «wir» für berechtigte Skepsis sorgt.
