I just watched a few live MM shows here on RU-vid earlier today that are from 2000-2002 and THOSE are the best ones I've ever seen (on RU-vid..) Those were the golden days of MM. When they were at their peak. Nowadays not so much... One of thems the Atlanta GA show (2001), the other one is at the Crystal Ballroom (2000)
Hey so I mean who was the last to play? Did modest mouse and pixies both have equally long sets or??? Just wondering I am seeing them in Montana here in a few days!
@@chrissteiger4199 Cat power opened. Then came Modest Mouse (around an hour) and finally Pixie closed the show (about an hour). It was a solid show! What I advise is to listen to there music before you see it because they sounded different (esp. Modest Mouse) than there studio albums.
@unfluster yep. Same here in Montana. I really liked modest mouse especially, what an experience! They played quite a different set for us in Montana, a lot of older lonesome crowded west songs for us, older ones that I remember first hearing way back in the late 90's.
I'm so grateful to have been apart of this tour. I am a long time hard core fan of modest mouse and pixies. I knew this was going to be special but had no idea how special. Modest Mouse proved why they are worthy of being one of the greatest bands of our time. Pure musical genius right there. Thank you Modest Mouse for giving us all you got! You were a really hard act for pixies to follow. You gave my soul goose bumps through the intire show. That's when you know it's legit. 🙌🫶🤙🤜💥🤛
This is the tightest they’ve sounded in a looooong time. They had gotten really sloppy for a while which was a shame. Sure Eric and Jeremiah are gone but the MM spirit is strong here
I think it's Damon Cox who was jeremiah's drum tech. Benjamin played with them before but if you look at videos of him he has a very distinctive style - different to this. Great job either way
I just seen them in missoula mt on tour with the pixies and I was both surprised and thrilled that they played so much of their older stuff. They opened with truckers atlas and it was killer!
@theunlikeables7166 I can't help think sinse it was montana that we got them older songs, truckers atlas with the shout out to montana. Brain eats heart... so cool to see those songs that I remember from being like 17,18,19 years old.
Your mom got me into MM so we started going to their shows together. And that's right around the time when I knew... That I was falling in love with her
