This is one of the more chill Modest Mouse songs. I think you guys would like Dashboard, or King Rat cause they are tons of fun. Ohhh! Fly Trapped In a Jar.

Modest mouse catalog is so diverse that it's hard to say what genre they are to me. With that being said, you can pick a song from any album and have feeling. What any band strives for! Love them!

I would love to hear you react to 'Parting of the Sensory'. It's one of my favorite of theirs. It's a massive epic track that builds slow and pays off big.

I saw mm live long time ago, it was about 4 months after we were dead dropped... parting of the sensory was my favorite track they played that night.. it was album quality. It was amazing. The only song I can still relive in my memory from that night. Amazing.

Good News For People Who Love Bad News is an amazing journey, and it's an album I have been able to keep coming back to over the decades because it can cover so much of relevance in a person's journey through life. 'Blame it on the Tetons' is towards the end of the album where the album really starts to somber down. If you want to hear the transition point, listen to 'Satin In A Coffin' and 'Milo (Interlude)', the 2 tracks immediately preceding this one.

They have a lot of songs about traveling the road and touring, and how it can put you in a somber mindset sometimes,so I always thought this song was about traveling through the Tetons and feeling just bleh. I actually don’t care for this song, but I’m glad you guys are enjoying it! It’s still pretty good, just not my kind of vibe. They have a lot of really diverse and interesting music. This is gonna be a fun journey to go on if you go on it.
