Seven years ago, I posted on reddit hoping to find this. I remembered this live performance, watching from a hotel room as a child - Modest Mouse, to me, were "that band with the beat-up lead singer". Yes, they were, and so much more. Time really flies. Thank you, mirrortoremind.
I remember watching this when it aired. For some reason, I thought it was a cover. I think I knew the song, but didn't know that it was Modest Mouse who done it or something. Anyway, I didn't think this was the actual band that actually done this song. And I was watching and thinking "damn, this guy is so good that he sounds exactly like the real singer" lol. I did finally figure it out though. And if I remember right, Coldplay performed on this same show. They played In My Place.
