@@greasydave1318 I mean, I still talk about this video... 9 years ago I commented... And I had been watching it for a year or two before that. The internet is weird. :)
+Hayden Shultz I feel like MM is somehow related to crows or something.. this video, then Ocean Breaths Salty, also the Satellite Skin one.. coincidence? Don't think so.
another classic song by modest mouse, brock's lyrics when you just read them without the music always seem so simple and easy to do, then you actually try to write lyrics yourself and you realize what a skill this guy has.
For some reason this song evokes the emotion of death to me. As though this song plays in the final moments of life as it flies before your eyes. As your light fades, you hear "On an Artic blast... on an Artic blast..."
always like crows too and talkt to them etc.& liked this song too. dont own it so whenever i want to listen to it i always click on this particular vid. well done
i liked the etching effect on the two ravens the best, and some of the fades of ice shots, especially with the dusk lighting... great homemade video! thx for sharing it!
thats the beauty of alaska ( i imagine; never been there;) it's either. they say in europe and some of the bigger cities on the coast in america they are ravens and in the midland they are crows also iv read the larger species and/or with the the large gutteral throats are ravens but ive also read that the larger ones are crows. ??Crows or Ravens indeed!
Havn't you noticed that nobody listens to the radio anymore? Shitty Music Killed The Radio Star. On the other hand, Modest Mouse is music that I'd give my arm for.
@BMXorHOMICIDE Just saying.. Modest Mouse used to listen to rap music when they toured. XD haha.. true story. :P But that wasnt like lil' wayne and shit. haha
@imjohnandyouare you are entitled to your opinion, but skm makes mm's masterful lyrics easily accessible to people who wouldn't have given them a chance because of the complexity of their sound. more appreciation is better, unless you are some kind of art snob purist who NEVER appreciates music or books, plays, movies that were translated from another language or works that are interpreted (covered) by another artist, ect... think about that now, LOL!!!
I came here, because I am a big fan of George the Iceman Gervin, who once said:Ice be cool, when asked about a reported rift between he and a teammate. So,since I changed the name attached to me at birth,I sought a new name,to better fit my new, confident, poised, sangfroid personality, and since I also love the color gray,I have changed my name to Grice(gray ice)and when people ask: How are you? I reply:Grice be cool!! Seriously.
