I think I remember hearing this on one of their live show dvds, likely bootlegged, titled lonesome crowded theatre. Fell in love with it then, never have forgotten it.

Thank you so much for saving this! The version that was up on youtube for years disappeared and I was worried it was gone forever. It's so cool how lyrics from Black Cadillacs show up in this recording.

soulseek is a gift! there use to be alot of rare modest mouse comps going around the internet in the early 2000's (most of which is published and scattered on youtube) and some people still keep them up on various P2P's. you just gotta know where to look!

First half reminds me of sections of Gravity Rides Everything, second half has Black Cadillacs lyrics. If this was really recorded in 98, that's a long time for those ideas to be kicking around before they made it to an album
