We are back this week, and so is Prime Minister Narendra Modi with another TV interview. With the election season heating up, we are seeing newer versions of Modi with each passing week and each passing interview.
This week, we saw the emotional side of the prime minister as he teared up during an interview with Times Now. We teared up ourselves at the state of journalism after hearing the sort of questions posed to Modi by anchors Sushant Sinha and Navika Kumar.
In the lead-up to the interview, the news channel also aired endless drama throughout the day, perhaps for TRPs. But, unfortunately, all this did not translate to views.

News have become drama about how Modi’s life and people went from normal to “Bhaktis” who defend India online, even though they live abroad and can’t recite a verse. It seems like no one wants to talk about actual issues like unemployment and taxes ever since this government came to power. It feels like the last 10 years of news was a long saas bahu serial and frankly I’m tired of it.

Manisha, I like newsance and I never miss a single episode. But I have a very objective question and I hope you take this sportingly. When Indira Gandhi imposed emergency, anyone who would even say anything against the government was put into jail. Rajnath Singh’s mom died still he wasn’t allowed to attend her funeral while he was in jail just bcoz he was in opposition. On the contrary, today, we can say anything against Modi freely, also we can belittle him just to run a RU-vid channel (no pun intended) then how is Modi a dictator? Btw I believe newslaundry and I am sure you guys will make a show on this as well how Congress jeopardized and actually threw ppl in jail for opposing.😊 And being your favorite phrase, this shows that u definitely have a “spine” and “morality”.😊
