Manipur is not a part of India according to Modi and he doesn't care about the people of Manipur whether they get killed or living in relief camps in horrible conditions. How can he allows this conflict to linger on for more than a year? I think Modi is not a human at all and doesn't have a heart. Modi didn't act to control the Gujarat Riot of 2002 where almost 2k people had died, he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat at that time. Now he is the Prime Minister of India and an Indian State has been burning since the 3rd May'23. Almost 300 people died and 60 thousand people lost their homes and living in relief camps in pathetic conditions. I guess Modi loves such tragedies and enjoy watching it otherwise he would have done better in both the ethnic conflicts of Gujarat and the ongoing one of Manipur. I am from Manipur and I hate the way Central Government is playing the game over Manipur.

In the midst of the violence when the houses were torched, people were shot, these central forces were standing as mute spectators and a Meitei gentleman asked an AR officer- why don't you save this people, why don't you act . The Army officer said " He doesn't have order to act". This is the situation. If the forces acted, this violence would have ended within 48 hours. And these forces are directly under the central Home Ministry and guess whose order they are waiting for. So we believe there is a hidden agenda of the central govt. Govt wants to enliven this hatred and conflict. Why? What purpose it serves? Ultimately kukis will never get separate administration because Meiteis will never allow it to happen. Manipur was an independent kingdom for thousands of years and Meiteis have protected their kingdom with valour and sacrifice. They won't easily accept it to break up into pieces.

He will never talks about Manipur inequality legislative assembly 60 seats i.e, meiteis 40, kukis 10 & Nagas10 whereas,only 10% of valley land dominated by meiteis and the rest by hills,kukis and nagas. He only stood for his own political career. Reasons why some ruling Kuki MLA's won't resign in a democratic country like India is the sufferings and demands of kuki voices could only be heard by the central government through them and there are also some vultures ready if seats are vacated.

Is there any constituency reserved for Meiteis? 41 out of 60 seats are unreserved i.e. anybody can contest for these seats and the remaining 19 seats are reserved for STs where Meiteis have no right to contest. No government - be it the state or central - can solve the problem of Manipur. It is the people of Manipur who can do the same. Who is responsible for the unrest in Manipur..Ans. The people of the state are responsible for the situation for two long centuries. The long period of infighting itself indicates something is too serious or nothing except ego. None of the party is ready to accept amicable solution by letting go one step for a solution. The rigidness of letting go is responsible for reaching out of amicable solution.Unrest in this state is not new - sorry for I have to write such a thing.

You need to be there to know the ground reality. Let me ask you something. If two members in a family fight, will the head of the family just let them fight and look away even if they are killing each other. Well this is what is happening, when the ethnic violence started, the govt both the state and central could have controlled it at least in 2-3 weeks. The police and the central paramilitary didn’t do anything that time and just said we don’t have orders when the houses and villages were being burned in front of them by miscreants. And the problem magnified coz people felt helpless as they have to protect their homes and villages by themselves even after having a govt who is supposed to protect the lives and properties of its citizens. So, thanks but no thanks for your comment. Something like this won’t happen in any other parts of India because they won’t let it linger like this. We are being treated as second class citizens by the central govt and this is the hard truth.

Your analogy is not only funny but also very out of the context. First, there might not be even 10 people on the entire KukiZo community to accept Bimol as a leader. Worst case scenario, he'll not make it alive if he chose to go there given the violent nature of KukiZo. And he is not in a position to exercise such power. If any mishap happens, it will be hell break loose. As for Mahatma Gandhiji, he was accepted as everyone's leader irrespective of cast and creed. Big difference.

Can this MP tell us why there have been multiple conflicts in Manipur in the last few decades? Wasn't Manipur under AFSPA for long time, even during Congress rule? Was that normal or abnormal? Why were Army trucks stopped in Manipur? Why were weapons and food supplies looted by local militia. So, convenient to blame Central govt in the end, when in fact, two tribes are unable to live peacefully. And what should have Central govt done differently? Would the warring tribes have listened to Modi and stopped fighting? Should we put back AFSPA again?

Brother, you need to go to school again! Violence between two communities can happen anywhere in this country and there is a long history for that…but it is the duty of law enforcement like army and others law enforcement agencies to halt the violence. In spite of having this many law enforcement agencies in Manipur, how come? They are just watching it like a movie. What do you know? @@rc2k22 I have already told you he is MP from inner constituency If you want to talk then you should first talk to your representative ( i.e. 10 MLA and 1 outer Manipur MP). And regarding his effort let me tell you, No one except him has talked about forming 'TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION COMMITTEE'. He has also said that he will try his best to request for setting up a joint parliamentary committee to make all the then serving official ( civil as well as security forces) accountable who remained a mere spectators when the violence erupted. So stop spreading hate and get yourself better informed. This is not the time to play politics. Its high time we feel the pain of countless people who are compelled to live in refuge camps with only bare minimum resources and act in order to address the concerns of all the effected person and at the same time address the trust deficit between all the communities living in Manipur to prosper as a whole.

Congress MPs are experts in DRAMA. They did DRAMA for 60 years after 1947 aggravating the Manipur issue that started in 1804, thanks to British Christian missionaries. Again, the ball is back in the court of the new Congress MPs. It is a shame to blame the BJP at the Center for the Manipur violence. Congress did not resolve the problem for 60 years. However, the new Manipur MPs have shifted the responsibility to the PM. He has indicated that he does not want the elected MPs to take responsibility for finding a permanent solution. What a shame to evade responsibility after winning the election to the Lok Sabha! No outside power can impose peace in Manipur. It has to come from within. The violence in Manipur started in 1804 when English missionaries were ruling India. The people of Manipur have been fighting and killing each other for 225 years. The violence and ill-treatment of respectable ladies continued for 60 years, after 1947. Manipur remained silent for 10 years from 2014 to 2023 but exploded again. Home Minister Amit Shah stayed in Manipur for 10 days to find a solution. Can a Home Minister stay and wait for 10 long days? The Home Minister will not allow poppy cultivation and illegal migration. What have you achieved by indulging in violence for 225 years? Do you have any permanent solution that is acceptable to the whole people for discussion with the elected representatives? The newly elected 2 MPs are responsible for finding the solution. However, the new Manipur MPs have shifted the responsibility to the MLAs of Manipur by mentioning that the PM should call MLAs to Delhi and discuss the solution. He has indicated that he does not want the elected MPs to take responsibility for finding a permanent solution. What a shame to evade responsibility after winning the election to the Lok Sabha!
