The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha saw a resurgent opposition, sloganeering and demanding justice for Manipur through Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech in the Lok Sabha. While Modi did not address Manipur in the Lok Sabha, the consistent sloganeering saw him addressing the violence-torn state in the Rajya Sabha the following day. Meanwhile Uttar Pradesh police said they have arrested six persons linked to organising the satsang of Narayan Sakaar Hari alias Bhole Baba in Hathras where 121 persons were killed following a stampede on July 2.
However, the self-styled police constable-turned-godman is still out of the grip of the Uttar Pradesh government amid mounting pressure to act against him.

Modi's speech on Manipur is eyewash. He didn't speak on concrete steps to be taken to resolve the issue. The PM is dishonest. Nothing is normal right now as he said. The highways are still not open. Meiteis cannot go the hills. Kukis cannot come to valley. Displaced people have not come back to their homes. Destroyed houses are yet to be built.

@@Vhshjvbjbcch3457 it's something like permitting, the status of Adivasis, Dalits by the court to High castes like Brahmins. Forget acceptance by the low castes, not even the high castes will accept it. Finding bread, butter and honey due to the blood, sweat, tears of Kukis, in the hill, Meteis want to usurpas Kuki land through judicial means. That's the main cause of distrust which BJP wanted to exploit for political gains., by giving a religious colour. Also note, Christians are not foreigners, if it had been so, you high castes hindus specially Brahmins would not have made a beeline to get your children admitted in our educational institutions, inspite of raising the bogey of Conversion, Conversion,................

Rahul's presentation and articulation was very poor. There was no need for so much shouting in the Parliament. It was like an election speech. Milind Deora's speech in Rajya Sabha may be an example of good speech in Parliament
