No, it's not a clone at all. Those Tomahawks (altough the 'Norse Hawk' is a little axe more than a Tomahawk, being honest) are made in Taiwan, for Cold Steel, by the 'American Tomahawk Company' (the same that did the Cold Steel Pole Axe, War Hammer etc). In Taiwan Cold Steel also make their Baseball bats, like the 'Brooklyn Crusher' etc. Clueless about the bald patch but in my opinion is something that belongs to quality control check.
