A wise man once told me: "Don't tell me why you couldn't do it, tell me how you got it done!" I live by this mantra. Your problem solving skills are something that can't be taught. Guide your career towards mechanical engineering and you'll go far.
Hey man, glad you are having fun, I bought my kid on of these 125 CC Chinese ATVs and they work great. Yes they aren't made very well, but he is 11 and has learned a ton about the mechanics. I just sold it for 200 and am now going to get him a Chinese water cooled 250 or 300 cc, we are then going to pull the thing apart over the winter and rebuild it together as a project.
Man you have had some good training to get the things done that you have accomplished those skills are going to get you far in your life most of your generation is playing on their PlayStations or phones in the future they won’t be able to do the things you will be capable of understanding and doing you can take all their money they make from sitting at a desk and put it into your account because lots of people will be lost I am 53 years old and most of the millionaires I know personally are machinists and engineers with hands on experiences in the trades as those guys know what it takes and their minds are always thinking outside the box from others my uncle is a retired inventor and he was running around his fathers machine shop at your age Running a lathe also ! Best of luck to you your understanding and explaining of the parts and problems / solutions on a Chinese atv is greater than lots of adults these days Keep the videos coming I’m impressed and I’ll subscribe to help you out a little bit also
Jason Loved the video and your commentary with trial and error. I am an engineer and know all too well the best design doesnt work the first time. Keep up the good work, I think you have a good future ahead of you
Keep up the good work, I really liked the bigger tire's and I'm thinking about doing this myself to my kid's 110. Glad to see that there is still some young people out there with the initiative to learn, work and make something rather than sit on their ass playing xbox and expect Mom and Dad buy it for them. Yes it's true these Chinese ATV's are disposable we already knew that, All I'm saying is he had an idea and through numerous count's of trial and error he modified something into what He Wanted and he used his hands not his mom's check book.
jscurby well said that is what my dad and step dad both taught me to fix anything with a motor and I can build anything house and cars buggy's you name it
The reason why you have a lot of stress on the axle when you turn is because the tires are too deep of a tread. You need something that will spin a little like a nobby tire and that will fix that problem.
@Jason Glance No that's not the reason it stalled because I road that atv for 2 months after I put the snorkel on and it worked fine although I did loose a little bit of power. The actual reason is that the exhaust pipe is made in 2 sections and the pipes don't fit tightly together so water got inside the engine and I know that is the reason because the engine got hydro locked.
you needed to do an alignment there are videos of it here lol. torque hard and locktite the bolts after adjusting, weld on a couple frame supports. Put plastic washers on the bolts holding the motor as well as the gold chain and better tie rods while your at it.
Man I love it just make your own engine mounts and weld it up you the man learning as you go did you weld up your chain adjustment and correct for it with tensioner
looks nice. I want to do something like that with 110 cc and eventually put something else in it for a motor. you got hydro lock.. that sucks.. don't ride it in water its not a boat and also can cause mess up your coils and whatever else electrical. I like them motors though. i got one on a mini-chopper made by coolsrer and ride it spring - fall for the last 5 or more years the mini chopper still runs but i need to fix the wiring ;
KEEP THE VIDS COMING MAN. LETS SEE YOU MODIFY THE SHIT OUTTA IT MAN. LOVE THE VIDEO! WHY DID IT TIP IN THE POND? CAN I FLY ACROSS WATER? WHERES THE FOOTAGE? MY TOA TOA HAS A 56 TOOTH AWESOME!
Those tall heavy rims and tires will slow down the atv a bunch....Also changes the gearing..Race atv have smallest tires ...Slowest atvs have biggest tires..Monster truck chinese atv! ...Anyway kid at least you doing something other then video games..
Super Mario Plush Bros 1 he did change the back sprocket but that probably just gave him the same as stock gearing because the bigger tires I had the same quad I didn't have any problems with mine but my dad and I changed the sprocket and put a different carb on it and made it twice as fast I could beat my cousin on his Yamaha blaster 200 and my cousin on his Yamaha warrior 350 they hated it
You didn't have to change the back sprocket. You could have went with a smaller front sprocket and got the same results. As far as you chain issues. You should have just adjusted the chain adjustment on the back of the swing arm. You did a lot of extra work for nothing.
Lol I am building one that the engine is capable of more than 70 to race flat track iv got video on my utube page cws10692 IT RUN im putting methonal in it to get up to 80ish Yamaha ttr 125 cluch carb jet 2.5bord raceing raceing piston an a lot more I spent around 800$ on the engine almost the same ATV u got an yes I had all them problems u did when I was running stock everything
Only thing he's bought was oil, gas, and maybe a stator? Everything else was hand made by him. A lot cheaper that way lol. Plus if he's anything like me just having something to work on makes it worth it!
Ok, The chain is falling off because your bolts are coming loose on the CHAIN TIGHTENER. By the way you might want to stop talking and take a breath. If you cant handle taking a video without saying AND THEN ever second word you should probably not be makin youtube videos... 1/10
