Hey my lovelies, It was finally time to work on MischiefMaker and it was a nice change of pace! I can't thank Matt and TomTom enough for helping out. Work and play in one day with a Mallow Cup! What more could you want. - Holls
Thanks for the well wishes! And I’m sure glad we don’t have to worry about bumper issues any-MORR 😜. Next time the stuck vehicle is over 50,000lbs, I might take a min to remind the owner to release his parking brake and I’ll be a little less liberal with the skinny pedal 🤣
I hope that is the case, but between running a very successful business and a rapidly growing RU-vid channel, he is a BUSY guy. I’ll definitely keep my hopes up 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Now it is easy to see your rear bumper is MORR capable! It is a good thing you stuck around to help or Matt could have installed a bumper from his derby car.
Mellow cups made in PA! About 2 hours or so from my house. Reese's peanut butter cups are my favorite. Made 20 mins down the road in Hershey. I buy Reese's peanut butter cups by the 32- count of the 2 cups box like every 2 weeks. No lie
The old bumper got stretched out in the middle during the pull, the rear frame has been kept in tension since then. It would have been best to relieve that tension by backing into a boulder and bumping the dent back in. The old bumper would have come off easier.
Time to get a small solar panel to keep your battery trickle-charged when MM isn't in use, modern vehicles drain the power even when everything is off.
Nice job guys! That is at least 100% better that the last one! Hollie, have you ever heard of a guy called Robbie Layton? 😉 I hear he's pretty good at painting stuff! LOL!!!
Dick Beonde did that on WLS, 890 AM in the early sixties in Chicago. "Be there or be square". It was the Mallow Cup, it was so good it made your teeth hurt! I know, done there, been that! Now you've got a tug that will pull a B52. Good luck with that, at least the bumper will be up to the job! Sayanara till tommara!
I feel so much better about that recovery point. I have to warn you, once you start custom building vehicles like with Nessy it’s addictive. Once you start building your own stuff you have to keep building. As soon as you finish one you start another. Or in a lot of cases you are buying parts for your next build while your building the one you are working on now.
I’m starting to see that. I spend like 18 hours at the garage wrenching, cutting & notching tube, practicing my welding, filming and editing…then I go home and Google ideas for the ram charger 🤣🤣 It’s a sickness!!
@@MischiefMakerTV lol I have 5 trucks in my yard plus my good old jeep that started this madness. I started modifying trucks back in the 80s lol. As I age the passion just gets worse!! I’m getting things together to take the Jeep to the next level. I want the ultimate off-road vehicle that is street legal. A healthy V8 engine “I have 4 different ones to choose from because I can’t make my mind up” 3 transmissions and a bunch of transfer cases. Keep bringing the great content I will be here watching and enjoying watching you grow as a driver and a builder.
@@MischiefMakerTV , ya, your gonna "start" with a body lift, taller tires .. then an axle lift then..then.. then.. My dad's 64 Chevy long bed stepside had narrow tall army bias ply tires on it. It's counter intuitive, but sometimes taller tires are better than taller wider tires.
I don't know why, but when I'm checking out of the farm store and I see those mallow cups, I often buy a package, even though I can only eat one or two maximum. 😂
The engineering shows foresight. Like to see Tom's ideas come to fruition. Hopefully the next time Holley pulls hard, the engine and transmission don't come out the back end of her Jeep!
Fingers crossed! It’s always treat to watch TomTom and Matt bring an idea to life - especially how the idea changes along the way. They are a great team!
I saw the video when the bumper bent. And I thought wow. I can’t believe how easily it bent. So it’s time to reinforce the bumper and make it ready for the next time you have to use it in such a manner. Keep up the good work. 👌
Watching this and I thought it was Matt's Channel, but obviously it's not ,sooo maybe it can be "Mischief Matt " for the collaboration channel . Hard case that Hollie was savouring the sweets ,then next she's off to the Dentist ,ole sweet tooth Neesey ,it's a sweet thing 😃
Holly, I see you have New York State plates on Mischief Maker. My home state. Bumper looks great 👍 now time to test it out 😀. I love your videos of the race Jeep and all the other videos also. Great job, nice shop, I see it coming along very well. You folks are awesome.
Thanks, Alan. Walter and I were just talking about how we are dying for a good bagel sandwich or a pizza. Those things are hard to get (properly prepared) out side of NY. Thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment! 😊🤙🏻
If you could point to a permanent residential address in Utah, you would be correct. If and when we decided to take on a permanent residential address in Utah, we will register our daily drivers in Utah, but the recreational vehicles will likely remain registered elsewhere 😊
Holly and Walter, thank you so much for an awesome 2022 season. Can’t wait to see the adventures in 2023. Have a safe and incredible holiday season with family and friends. See you both in the new year love from Australia.
A dead battery is the Jeep life, especially if you offroad them, LOL. I am doing good to get 2 yrs out of a battery, and years we wheel a lot, they're dead in a year. Between the heat and the beating and banging, it kills them. I need to upgrade the battery boxes. I forgot who makes the ones with rubber bumpers in them, I think, Odessy, but I am not for sure. We saw them a few years ago 4 wheelparts expo in Houston years back.
I was pleasantly surprised to see the CrawlTek inferno is just as high clearance as my previous bumper. Both still would have needed reinforcement to survive that type of pull because their main purpose is to protect the tub from rocks and serve as a recovery point for the Jeep itselfzz
Kudos to Matt, I like that design. Too bad I didn't think of it a few weeks ago when I built front and back bumpers for my CJ-7. Oh well, not to worry. When the next 67,000 pound motor home needing recovery comes along I'll just say "Call Holly!".
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Fox, JKS Mfg., CrawlTek and BDS Suspension were all part of the same company. I really like the CrawlTek design too. They actually sent a front bumper too, but we will get that installed at a later date.
Mallow cups and Smoothies are made by Boyer Candies 20 miles from me in Altoona PA. I have been eating them since I was a kid. I like smoothies better....they are peanut butter cups.
My best friends mom (therefore my 2nd Mom) worked at Boyer and made Mallow Cups in Pennsylvania!! Awe, I’m so happy you gabe them a 11/10!! Boo on Matt though.
Now you have a functional recovery point on the back of your jeep. You can even pull a trailer if nessasary. Even if you had a winch connected to your old bumper, it would have bent.
I had been pulled by a winch from the tow point on that bumper at least 50 times. Never had any issues, but I’m sure glad to have this one and have it modified for abuse
Dont know if ya got a new battery yet , but i use “Odyssey” batterys in my jeeps and my John Deere tractor and they are awesome . They are 100% made in America ,with american made materials.. and i thing the warranty is 10 years or 7 cant remember ..
@MischiefMakerTV, I grew up on Mallo Cups. My Aunt would buy her and I one when we went to the meat market as a treat. I, too, give them an 11 out of 10.
I wanted a hitch point on the front of my stock wj ,and all the pre manufactured ones looked like they'd get caught on a speed bump. so I did what I usually do when I can't find or afford what I want.i made my own . Now people stop and ask where I got it because it just pokes thru the center of the stock bumper ,and they like the clean look. So I got a lil sticker that says "built not bought " it saves alot of time lol
Holly .... "be there, or be square". Me .... " 1967 just called and ......." I've not heard that one in a coon's age. Holly bringing back the oldies, but the goodies😂👍🏻✌🏻Take care Holly & Walter - have a very Merry Christmas 🎄☃❄
That bad boy has MM beat by at least 2500# that would be a tough pull…that said I’m ALWAYS down for a 1 mile race as long as I get to pick the last 1/2 mile 😉
