I have two questions. First being what editing software do you use. Second is why do you choose to use your phone versus action camera for the shots that you setup outside of the vehicle? I would be more concerned with running over or weather damaging my phone than an action camera.
Correct, an early JK/JKU (07-11) NP241, or a late TJ NP241OR will also work based on the research I did. I would have loved to have a 4:1 ratio instead of a 2.72:1 ratio, but this was fast and easy. Shift pattern and shifter changes are not something I wanted to deal with right now and I couldn’t find a 241 for less than $1,300 and this option was only $300.
Couple times there I heard some Gump in Ben’s voice. I can’t vote this year Love the pacer racer Love liberty biberty Love the mini monstr Love the Willy’s Love the defender - didn’t like the Jeep truck so much And the dodguar is kinda cool too. This year is pretty cool in general
And not needing to drive 3 hours to get it was sweet! Thankful for Janelle 💕! It’s definitely a bit more broken in than the original one (chain seems noticeably looser), but the seller seemed confident it would last - either way, I have a solid backup if a rebuild is needed 😅
A few steps closer to being done. seems like you have cut off almost as much metal as you have welded back on. Granted what you've welded back on is a bit heaver thicker metal.
Technically speaking, the KJ is a un, just like the XJ, ZJ, and WJ. There are some distinct differences between a un and a unibody. AMC developed the un in the early 80's when it was designing the XJ and ZJ. Chrysler kept this design when it developed the WJ and KJ. Its cool to see this build progressing, I really like it.
Wish I would have known that you were looking for a transfer case for your Liberty I have to transfer cases for the Liberty that are the 231 version that I would have sold you for 100 to help the budget.
I really wanted a NP241OR, but man….they are expensive! They ranged from $1,300-$1,800 depending on condition 😓 If I decide I like this rig enough to swap in another case, I’ll probably spend the money to pop in an Atlas and get the same 5:1 ratio I have in MM.
Could you recommend a tire that I will put on a 2024 Rubicon 392. It's all stock so will need to upgrade axles, shocks, and more. This is mainly for street use but occasional light trail use. I don't intend to put scratches on this so no rock climbing or deep mud. It'll be kept inside most of the time as this thing is a gas hog as you know. I've always wanted a lifted Jeep with larger tires. 42's would look amazing along with whatever size lift kit and shocks are best and beefier axles. Should I consider BF Goodrich tires? Even though it will be loud behind the wheel with aggressive treads, I like the looks at least on this one. I don't know what brand of rims to consider that are bead lock. Should I consider 42x14.50R20LT or go with higher aspect ratio? I'm also considering, as a second vehicle, on a Rubicon with the V6, 6 speed standard and larger tires and wheels plus lift kit for longer travels on pavement. Though I have no idea yet what tires and wheel limitations there might be for the V6 when mainly purposed for pavement. Thanks
The fact you guys get this all done in such a short time compared to what I've got done on my own buggy (delivery to 🇨🇦 is snail mail), just amazes me and kills my motivation 😂 but liberty bibert 🗽 sure is coming together though can't wait to see it in action 🤟
Oh man…It’ll probably get one tons at some point. I still kinda want to put this on 39s, but these toothpick axles won’t like that (even with this awesome new full float D44 rear and all the awesome front axle upgrades).
@MischiefMakerTV and i don't want something negative to be the only thing i say so... my wife loves what you do because you don't sexualize what you do in any way and that is honestly the only channel on the internet that i can say that about. So keep doing what you do. You have my support in anything you do, even if i hate the liberty. 😉
You have any idea that putting an axle together, all the parts, fitting together, tightly, so the whole thing works? I have a 'vague' idea, and there is no way I could do what you are doing. I don't think. Maybe. On the other hand, you generate great confidence in a viewer that maybe, just maybe, rebuilding an axle and changing the gear ratio is possible. Maybe. Good Job!
Only Braum offered to custom fit and had me send pics of a cut up meter sticks at 8 points. They reach the end of sliders and full recline. I was lucky , I think . I did have to put the levers inbetween the seats though. If not for that they would not fit.
I'm just now finding time to catch up on your video's . Mike , Shawn and you two were the best people at the games! Mischievous Dirtbillygoat Rockpeckerfish are my favorite kind of people !
