Sooo you've inspired me mate. I've got a sewing machine and I've ordered 5m of fabric and the same thread as you've recommended. So could i pick your brains please buddy? What size zips do i need? For the skirt do you make 8 individual strips and then sew them all together? Thank you sir
Great video. I'm attempting to sew one from scratch and was wondering on your thread. You mentioned it's 100% polyester on the guterman website what's the name of the thread. You got overlooking, extra strong, top stich, sew all thread, deco stich etc. I have got the top stich thread but as you said it might be a bit too bulky. Was wondering is there a happy medium from this and cotton thanks.

Best video on mods I've come across. Belter. Cheers. One question is why you oped for 12.5'' skirt? Have you tried bigger than this and felt that it didn't work? Ill be starting my mod soon, so just checking :)
@@nigeloutdoors4886 Yea man I really like the work. I envision the same extra skirt a the bottom. One thing I think would be awesome is a awning on entrance. I have seen some people add a 3 section but, looked bad. Also, would be cool to see tie outs more in the middle going around as well to pull the tent out adding more space. But, also giving the option to use 3 or more post like a indian TeePee but, poles on outside. I think that would be cool as it could allow more space inside with no pole. Have you seen the U.S. Pup Tent mods? They work well as they do add the rain fly setup.

@@nigeloutdoors4886 I also would like one of these upgrade lavvu tents. I have a new one here, I bought it by ebay. For round a bout 20 bugs. Then I saw your updated one and I asked my self if you are still building them up. So that's my thought... If you are still doing this... Could you tell me your price for your materials and work for processing. If you need a bother tent for this I would send you mine. Would like to hear from you!
