Great video, l'd love to see a video of the 915 launching. My 915 desperately needs a refresh, it'd be great to see what kind of abuse they can take because people always talk about how gingerly you have to treat them.

Its a great engine. I really thought you would have to upgrade some of the internals for the turbo but it appears I was wrong, brilliant work.

There is no world in which I would launch a 915 on stock 180HP, let alone even a mild turbo set up.

I know right, that's what I thought, but, this car has been proven on track numerous times. It is a surprise but it seems to work really well.

@@OutlawGarage That is shocking, my 915 was trashed when I got my SC, I drive it like its made of glass now. I don't want another bill like that.

Yep rebuilding a Porsche gearbox isn't cheap but this setup has been proven on track. Now I will say "on this car it has been proven" as I'm not sure I would do it on my own SC but it is worth some further investigation for sure.

@@OutlawGarage My plan was to find a short bellhousing 930 trans and sell of my fresh 915 to help offset the cost. Now I think I should just buy an EVO V and leave the Porsche alone.

Even just the classic retrofit CDI is a great upgrade to the SC. We have one in our 930 and it made a massive difference, I'm a real big fan of this CDI unit.

We had to be careful in a public area but we did show how it works on an aircooled car and the sound. Next time we will show this on track.

A little heads up... the Audio level on your Channel seems to be way above the rest of RU-vid. Rather irritating, getting hurting ears and a shock every time I click on your videos. Great content apart from that, still maybe something to keep in mind for future videos.
