Good prop tips. I mean tips for props. Or is that props for your prop tip tips? 🤣 I haven't used my IFFS props yet, but I will definitely remove them from the "hanger." I really prefer traditional Aluminum bearings. One of the problems I had with IKARA props, the balance clay "ate" the plastic and I had to clip both tips to salvage the propeller. (a "long term" concern--the model was stored away for several seasons...)
Hahahaha! That's funny! I haven't had problems with clay eating the plastic, but some formulations probably have some solvents in them that cause problems.
Best I can tell you is clean any glue off the nozzle and keep it capped securely when not in use. I don't buy particularly large bottles because once opened, they do start gradually hardening. Also avoid large changes in temperature as that tends to congeal and harden the glue.
Speed Deamon is a *very* quick build, maybe 90 minutes. You spend more time setting up the servos and power system than you do building it. Unfortunately there are very few true speed planes that don't involve substantial time building them out. Used to be that you could find used GP Rifles for cheap but those days are gone. Maybe keep an eye on rcgroups and see if someone is selling a complete plane for a price you can afford.
@@joshuawfinn oh yes I built a few sharks back in the day. I love me some balsa foam board speed planes. I'm sure I'd build it on sitting . I've been flying X-Plane. Recent but back in the day my buddy Tim was working on the great plane rifle and I had many , both the original and the 1m rifle.. I love watching your fast stuff it brings me back to the basics.. I love to showcase these planes a ND reviews on my channel . You don't need to spend 1000s of dollars to go fast safely. Even foam or balsa can do it....
@@SupremeRC I've got an XPlus, still finishing repairs after it cartwheeled on launch...extremely unforgiving on a 7x13 prop but the speed is unbelievable. I got to fly with Tim a long time ago, great guy and an incredible pilot!
