Hey curtis, I have the local university brining 16 volunteers to help dig my beds and lay compost/fish emulsion About 2000 sqft this year. You are the inspiration for this.

seeing this gives me hope of growing in desert, i'm just south of Queen Creek. one observation though, move the fuel cans and store them in a metal flameproof cabinet. Great Channel Curtis! i really enjoy it.

Hey Curtis! Any chance of you posting a link or listing a name for that structure? I am having trouble finding anything in that price range but I love the portability especially for urban farming and leased land. Many thanks and happy growing!

I looked on Steadfast Farms' website and it mentions they do consulting on several things, including those structures. Maybe it's a trade secret. :o Odd it wasn't mentioned.

Hey Curtis, how is it that in Canada, you're often walking around in the winter time in a T-shirt and here in the Arizona winter, you're wearing a nice big coat? lol. What gives?

Wow, what a great set up that's looks like a well-organized farm. GOOD JOB! I have been inspired and hope to duplicate in cleanliness and organization of crop movement and that was just from your drone shot. Curtis, you're really getting very good with that thing. Keep on Farming !! :)

Great videos, I've been following your channel for 1 1/2 years now and learn something new every time. I started a small farm last year and I have 1 question, how does someone go from hobby farmer to fulltime farmer.

Ive been watching your videos over the past year +, just curious, from your first year to now, how much weight do you think you have changed? You look in a good bit better shape over your years of posting

that's a sweet set up, It's so annoying my bro has to move as he is on about 8 acres of land plus 4 barn buildings and 3 stables (it was 5 barns and 4 stable one one had to be pulled down), and I would so use your methods adapted to his farm to rotate the 4 acre paddock they have =S

That's all cool, but what's up with that orange mini cement mixer by the first building?
@jaydoug1973
@jaydoug1973 6 лет назад
Probably for mixing soil mixes for micro-greens, but just an educated guess.

@asdfjkl50499
@asdfjkl50499 6 лет назад
No they do not, they just stack the flats on each other and put weight on the top one. Curtis has several great micros videos on how it is done.
@Veemack21

Ow yeah ive seen his videos but others have been using paper towels to cover trays. I can't remember the RU-vid page but they do it a lot.

the dust storms are called haboobs. basically blacks out the sky sometimes.
@clintongray6889
@clintongray6889 6 лет назад
They may be called Haboobs in other places but in Arizona we call them dust storms.
@christianvoluntaristsurvival

dude, i live in arizona. born and raised in that phx valley. even the local news stations know that the big dust storms are called haboobs.
@clintongray6889
@clintongray6889 6 лет назад
Dude, I also live in Arizona. 4th generation native. And the dust storms here are nothing like a true haboob which mostly happen in the deserts of the Middle East and Africa. Those truly darken the sky and can last for days. If someone is using the term haboob for what we have, they have never been in a real one. Good day.
@christianvoluntaristsurvival
@christianvoluntaristsurvival 6 лет назад
can't believe i'm gonna come back to this thread but, if you google "haboob dust storm arizona" you will quickly find a wiki article that states haboobs are dust storms that occur all around the world INCLUDING north america. there's videos of people driving into "haboob, dust storms" in arizona, so on and so forth. yes our dust storms are different than those in africa, no duh. haboob still stands as the technical term for the large dust storms that are common in the phx valley! what a pointless discussion this has been.
