Thank you for your comment. In fact the possibilities of a modular system are quite complex. To get a one shot process of modulation when hitting a key, you usually use an ADSR-generator. Here you define a curve of attack, decay, sustain and release that creates a control voltage to modulate the filter-offset. Maybe I should make a video about modulation sources and destination. ;-)

Naja, ein Allrounder ist so ein Modularsystem in dieser Grundausstattung nicht. Aber der Reihe nach: Ein Keyboard ist natürlich sinnvoll. Es gibt Midi-to-CV-Module, die in den meisten Grundkonfigurationen schon dabei sind. Damit kann man jedes Midi-fähige Keyboard verwenden. Dann steht so ein System meist nicht allein, sondern zusammen mit anderen Synthesizern, was ein Mischpult sinnvoll macht. Als Anfänger NUR mit einem Modularsystem zu starten, könnte frustrierend sein... vielleicht aber im Zusammenspiel mit Software-Synthesizern im Computer.

It's the other was round: You connect from DarkTime to the multiplier-module. The multiplier (A-180) consists of two blocks: One input, three outputs with exactly the same signal coming from input - and the same structure one more time. So: In->Out->Out->Out | In->Out->Out->Out. The first In/Out-block I connect to the CV1-out from the dark time, that controls the frequency of the sound to be generated (controlled by the DardTime's knobs). The second block is connected to the Gate-Output that controls the kind of note-on/off in order to trigger the envelope generators. The Multiplis-module now is used to give the same imput signal (such as the frequency) to at least two destinations (the two VCOs) - and the gate-information to two different envelope-generators.
