Emotional Doctor? Companion dying? War stupid? Capatlism bad? Moffat is SO back

Faith is not what he is against IMO its that people allow themselves to be manipulated into killing others in the name of faith or not helping others because they dont have their brand of faith.

Moffat will be back, he has written this years Christmas special which will probably be shown on Christmas Day or available to stream on Christmas Day, can’t wait… Ncuti and Millie yet again continue to impress as the Doctor and Ruby…. 👍🏼

I don’t think he has a problem with faith, unless it gives people a reason to not think for themselves or kill people in the name of religion.

I wonder if Ncuti improvised the “Do you get-get-get it?” That’s such a specific way of delivering that line.

In the Uk Space Babies is episode 1. I understand why Disney labelled the Christmas episode as episode 1 - it’s for new viewers who need to be guided to watch the Christmas episode first as it’s pretty important for setting up the story arc for season 1.

More facts about Episode 3 Boom (i personally consider this episode 3) The ambulance interface is Susan Twist, aka the actress that has been seen in other Doctor Who episodes such as Wild Blue Yonder, Church on Ruby Road, Space Babies, and Devil's Chord. You may want to remember Mundy Flynn, played by Varada Sethu. Remember their names: Mundy and Varada Sethu. Cause you never know who would join the TARDIS next, especially in a Steven Moffat episode (EHEM Clara Oswin Oswald EHEM EHEM) 💙💙💙 Dunno if its just me, but Ncuti was channeling his inner Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi for this episode!

re: faith stuff Moffat's run did the whole "faith saved the universe" storyline twice; with Amy bringing back The Doctor to life during her wedding, and Rory being brought back and surviving for 2000 years. In a recent interview for the TV show Dracula that he wrote, he mentions hes an atheist, but he respects what religion/faith is able to bring to people. So this is just a case of writers' politics bleeding into the art

Xmas specials have always being labeled as episode 0 of the current series as far as i know. I agree too, space babies is episode 1 for me

Personally, I've always labeled and considered the Christmas Specials as Episode 0 of the new season.

To have the numbering system out of synch is fitting as it's just as timey wimey as the series. I learned a long time ago not to try and make sense of ANYTHING that Doctor Who gives us. To me this is season 40 in total, series 3 (1 being classic and 2 being what USED to be modern and 3 for Ncuti) and episode 3. The specials are their own thing which I've yet to label for my own mental knowledge

I wasn't the biggest fan of Moffat I liked Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi as Doctors loved Amy Pond as she's one of my favourite companions and Nardole because he's so far the only main companion who is not from modern day earth but I didn't like the writing style or the fairytale aspect of it and my struggle is he never kills anyone off and keeps bringing them back which was always one of my frustrations with Moffat. I didn't like this episode the Doctor was helpless through most of episode, the Doctor standing on a landmine is a recycled episode from the Tom Baker story "Genesis of the Daleks" only they stretched this scene out this didn't feel like science fiction it felt like soap opera in space I wish Steven Moffat would just retire at this point the show is meant to be progressive I think Moffat was great for his time but I feel he's running out of ideas like RTD is I'd rather they had someone new to write this episode but that's just my opinion they just stood around talking in the most of the episode when they could had found a solution. I also wasn't a fan of seeing the Doctor cry that felt too out of his character granted I know each Doctor has different personalities but I don't think crying should be a thing for the Doctor it takes away what makes his character interesting and the alieness of it. Ruby gets shot and injured then magically gets better by the end of the episode which took the realism out of it it was just typical and predictable Moffat. I'm also getting tired of RTD and Moffat using religion in their stories they didn't have to be anglicans they could had just been a normal space military force. The only positive I will say about this episode was we weren't on earth london, england were on an alien planet which was nice change as NuWho doesn't often do and the set is fantastic and the Doctor not using his sonic screwdriver but the story for me just didn't deliver.
