Hi I lost the use of my legs in march 2010 and spent weeks in hospital affected my bladder too. then i lost all the colour from my sight. after lots of steroids my sight returned to normal and i was able to move around aided. originally it was said I had encephalitis and then nmo was put on Azathioprine and other meds to help. in 2014 Azathioprine was stopped and within the year I had another optic neuritis I was tested and mog antibodies were positive, stayed on Azathioprine and was tested in 2018 and 2022 and both times it was negative everyone told me they had never seen a negative change to a positive so i was happy. kept on the Azathioprine as 2015 my eyesight went completely and we didn’t want to risk it. April 2023 started having eye pain and it all felt familiar, back to the hospital where i had mri and lots of tests including anti mog and it came back positive.. this appears to be very rare so full of steroids yet again (i know they are needed but i suffer from them) I didn’t think i’d lost any vision but after 3 days of steroids everything looked much clearer. so now waiting to see what happens. good luck to all of you with this Mogad
Thank you for your comment! Your original presentation sounds very similar to mine. I hope you are managing it okay and you managed to recover from the latest attack.

Hi Scott. Thanks for another great update. After two years of prednisolone I had to come off in October due to bad side effects - though im still testing a low positive. I'd love to know more about the talk you had with the nutritionist. The aches pains and fatigue are still ongoing and I'd love an active way to try and get them under control!
