Wonder why the captain went back to plane? Maybe he felt he'd rather be killed than have the guilt of the hijackers blowing plane up. More puzzling why did the co pilot want to stay on the plane when he could of got off safe? Maybe he wanted to see what happened and how it ended but I'm guessing it would of been covered on all news so he could of watched that safely. Or maybe he felt responsible for passengers and crew but there was nothing he could do to save them.
Regarding your last question: it's customary for the highest ranking crew member (in this case the copilot, after the captain was murdered) to be the last person to disembark during an emergency situation, after making sure everyone else is safe.
The English subtitles at 2:35 are wrong ("No, I want to stay. I will stay with the others"). What the captain actually says is: "No, I want to stay" in English to the hijacker, and then, in German, to the stewardess: "He might shoot me from behind."
bin komplett bei Dir .... wie kann man eine Frau/Witwe ( gerade frisch ... den Tod des Mann mitbekommen ) so behämmert bedrängen ... sensationsgierig ... eine Frechheit
Ahmed Abdi no, the plane is German, and it was named Mogadishu because it landed there. This was a hijacked plane, and made their final emergency landing in Mogadishu. There, they were rescued.
