This is honestly a pretty damn good review format, Charlie. It's themed after a running joke, but it doesn't feel like it's overusing it and making the joke get old, or anything. It continues the joke and amuses, but doesn't keep the review from actually being serious and providing good points. Overall, I'd give the Moist Meter review format a 100% on the Moist Meter.

I feel like Deck13 is a very competent studio, but they just haven't come up with the right idea yet. While I didn't enjoy Lords of the Fallen very much, it was a very pretty game with very good voice acting. The Surge seems to have improved gameplay sides of things while retaining those other traits. They just need to come up with a really solid concept and keep improving at the rate they are and they could really go places.

I'm glad that even though you're getting review copies now you're still giving honest reviews.

How do you determine what your second testicle is? Maybe it would have to do with if you're right handed then your right testicle is your first and your left is your second. And Vice versa for left handed people.

That really does sound like a pretty awesome system!

I think one aspect I love about this game is the ability to bank scrap as well as the scrap multiplier. You still have to make it back to the safe zone alive, but I like the idea of being more forgiving with the scrap you obtain and the multiplier gives a good risk vs reward gameplay loop where you can rank in more scrap but risk getting killed and have to rush to your last spot.

I was waiting for the moist meter for this game! The devs took a really good time to bring this game out now that theres no game from fromsoftware coming out. Also It kinda came out of nowhere for me and I didn't really see anyone hyping the game so I didn't really have any expactations for the game. Overall I think it's a great game and deck13 is definitely taking big steps in the right direction. I loved that it ran 144+ fps for me at any given time without a single drop and not a single game crash, BIG PLUS. Hopefully their next game will have a better map design and more enemies, everything looked the same as critical mentioned.

I don't think this was a fair review because you missed out half the game by not finding the master key and unlocking a whole different area where they had a whole lot more bosses and pretty interesting enemies.

Watching charlie get destroyed by the fire enemies was more entertaining than it should have been

The part about shrimp alfredo was spot on.

My problem with this game is that it seems it's just gameplay. DS is gameplay + some hidden lore and amazing diverse locations (especially the third one, the scale of the map blew my mind). I feel like the thing that I remember the most about DS3 is opening that huge door after the first boss (on a cathedral) and being blown away by the size of the skybox, but also being blown away the entire game when looking back and thinking "i was there, holy shit, it's not a skybox, I can see where I came from. I wonder if I'll go to X location from here, that looks interesting".

Ill put this on my wishlist and "When its on sale AND when Im not playing 4 other games" list.

I just saw an add for this game in which they interlaced gameplay footage with a bunch of review scores on the screen from every game reviewer imaginable. I must say it's truly a shame and a missed opportunity that they did not boast about receiving a 75 on the moist meter. I kept watching waiting for it to pop up but it never did.

It's cool that you put animations in the video for the wet and dry parts but you should get a dry animation for those parts cause otherwise the visuals are conflicting with what you're saying.

Once you pass the noob barrier in nioh (3rd boss, hino enma and maybe umi bozu) the game becomes super easy because you can get sloth, weakness, op armor sets and more. Some weapon skills are pretty op as well (blade spin, windstorm.)

If they make a second one, they should just make the player character a robot.

If your going to make a game with a Preset character then the story MUST center around that character. Like Batman in the Arkham games, or Geralt in the Witcher. The preset dude has to be so important to the story that without him the story can't exist. Because if not people are going to ask why they can't make their own dude.

in the description it says "Review copy provided by publisher." did they actually give him a copy of the game? up until i saw that i thought this was more of a joke than a show. i can just imagine the publishers saying in their conference room saying "who should we give our review copies to? ign? gamespot? nah, give em to moist meter."

Damn so hard to decide on picking up this game, i just feel it needs some sale even though Steam has it cheaper. That's a nice review, i think the very low amount of bosses will dry me out though
