Cosmetic Formulator here. Loving the review so far. Still watching. But SISSS I HAD TO PAUSE THE VIDEO AND COMMENT when you said 30 subjects tested for a week! 30 test subjects is not the issue here. That's the standard limit to get into retail stores. So that's the ideal standard that almost every beauty company uses. Some go above and beyond and use 100 test subjects. If they have the budget. But for a week!!!! NO MA'AM! I'm so disappointed ! The minimum should be 30 dayssss!!! Some ppl start seeing results in 2 weeks. But the trial should be at least a month. A WEEK IS NOT LONG ENOUGH TO GET REPAIR CLAIMS!
I thought a month too, but I didn't have a chance to say nothing because I was out. I always thought it takes a month to truly tell if a hair product is really making a difference.
From my OWN experience, products made for “all” don’t work on my super coiled 4c-ish hair. THANK YOU for a great, thorough review. I appreciate your hard work.
I have 4c hair and bought the bundle and it was great… I did a regular wash no deep conditioning and I feel like you have to try it yourself because I didn’t get this content creators results…
I feel the same way about clothes, skincare and hair products with the one size fits all. The made for all skin types and hair types to me feels like it won’t work for me and once I try it I’m proven right.
No, not if they aren't good. Buying for the sake of buying and wrecking my hair I will leave that up to you. Have fun with your big chops and repetitive hair repairs.
Support already rich women with products that can be found better cheaper? Naw...Ri is wearing a wig for the promos. A trash wig at that....lol. Please buy Miche, ya'll. Support and grow Her!! It's better than this stuff.
@@SheReaDelSolI think it's a whole demographic who doesn't believe that's Beyonce's real hair. When Rihanna popped out with her natural hair, people said she was one of us
I think it's becuz Beyonce was wearing wigs for years and when she finally wore her hair out it looked like it was a wig so people didn't believe when she said it was her real hair. I can't remember where she ever wore kinky curly hair, even in wigs so it comes off as her products being more geared towards people with wavy or loose curls. Which is not helpful when there is a whole demographic with kinky tightly coily hair that wants to support a black celebrity but feels they are being left out as always
I tried FENTY hair and I like the products I used so far.. that being said.. I knew before the products arrived that it was a reparative product line so I wasn’t expecting supreme moisture. I was looking for strengthening/balancing properties to help my fine curly hair.. and it served for me. I will also say.. I feel if your hair doesn’t need repairing at the moment and your hair is in a good place you probably won’t need to use the entire product line.. you won’t need to start with a FENTY shampoo then move on to the conditioner or deep conditioner and the finally a styler.. many people simply don’t need that much protein.. instead pick a product that you feel would benefit you the most.. and then follow up with products that’s gonna bring the moisture. I think that’s how I’m going to use my FENTY products moving forward
I love this comment as some one in their 50"s who just learned how to really take care of my fine but full curly hair this comment was needed. This isn't an every week product line some things can be used more than others but you need to figure out where your hair is and what your hair needs. I'm so proud of the progress we've made in hair care when I was a little girl there was nothing but water and grease and that wasn't what my hair needed and neither was pink moisturizer just too heavy. I have many options for my curly curlz and im proud to be alive to see it! I supported and got the deep moisture bundle I like how she offers that like her skin packages!
I loved everything about this review. How you reviewed the products and didn’t have to wait until the end. I especially like how you called out the hate on Cecred, both should be given a chance to succeed in this market.
Why are you all acting Cecred company is some type of victim when as soon as the launch of this brand was announced her fans started acting out and attaching themselves to it? No one would be mentioning that brand otherwise.
@@inoasf9075 who said they were a victim? We said that the Cecred launch didn’t receive as much scrutiny as the Fenty launch. Y’all wanted to see Beyoncé’s scalp to validate the line you were never going to purchase anyways.
Just here to say I LOVE the vibe of this video. Your pastel shirt goes so well with the pastel product containers and background colors, and the visuals/slide transitions are clean. Kudos! 😊
When it comes to the hate Bey receives vs the love Rih receives it irritates my soul… Beyoncé has shown us her hair several times, she has tried her hand at clothing & fragrance as well… Rihanna absolutely dominates in the beauty/makeup industry, but Sis just gave us two scoops of hair & we should just take her word for it…. Now while I will say that FENTY BEAUTY is one of my fav cosmetic brands, haircare vs skin/beauty IS NOT the same.. I adore how FENTY listens to the consumers & how they want to be inclusive.. they go above & beyond to be inclusive!! But we can’t do that with hair… I’m type 3C & the deep conditioner was definitely “I Love The Way You Lie” for me…. no slip & zero moisture..
Honestly when both released my initial reaction was that the hair care market is so saturated why do we need this. After hearing more about the reparative effects it got my attention. Maybe I just didn't hear about it but it came out of nowhere for me so I was definitely questioning the motivation. I think the surprise drop for music makes sense but with the hair care line maybe a little more teasing in advance would have made it not feel like all the other celebrity hair money grabs and people would have more absorbed what sets it apart. Although I think people are seeing it more now
I’m an environmental health scientist that watches lab muffin and I don’t think 30 people is enough and the length of the study is also very short. There’s so many questions to ask. Was the study double blind? Did people know they were testing it for Riri’s hairline? And definitely not a lot of subject with varying hair type, the sample size is too small. But at least they tested it.
People know why they're being hypocritical with rihannas line versus Beyonce. Who knows if theyll be honest about it. Anyway, I'm a former haircare researcher. Was interested in the curl custard until I saw those ingredients. Will stick to my fav brands and making my own styling products. These are V05 formulas for Briogeo prices. Also, trials should be at least 30 days. Everything points to this launch being rushed.
@SheReaDelSol Just my opinion but I've been feeling this about many new natural brands: that they've moved away from high quality ingredients that nourish the hair in favor of styling. Nothing wrong with that, just don't sell me Dollar Tree formulas with cute packaging. I tried Cecred and was impressed, but I wouldn't be surprised if her styling products, if she releases any, will be similar because that's the industry norm now.
People say Rihanna is more relatable than Beyoncé but likeeee they’re both unrelatable 😂 Rihanna hasn’t given her fans the music that they’re wanting so they gatta take what they can get. Beyoncé is the quiet queen and any introvert bw knows we’re a target for no reason. Im not trying any. BUT if I had to chose I’d pick bey because she has the hair health and length and her mom own a salon for YEARS! People are just turning on Beyoncé cuz she won’t kiss their butts.
@@meekazanielle literally lol they people hate what they can’t destroy I Hope she never changes! Ask them what rih shared about her personal life!! They won’t give you an answer
Beyonce’s hair made me want to buy it (i wont cause I’m a $10 and under girlie) but rihannas marketing and branding fit my style more. I want to have fun with my hair, sadly rih’s hair looked lackluster during the roll out.
Loved, loved, loved this review. Very thorough and concise. Even though it was 31 minutes it didn't feel like it, it moved at a continuous pace and kept me interested. The editing was on point and your hair looked great. I'm glad you found some productss that you loved in the line. Thanks for giving us all the tea on this line so we can make informed decisions on whether to purchase or not. See you in your next video!💛
I’m so happy I’ve been natural for over a decade I already fell for the natural hair influencers! Trying to sell us products back In 2017. I found what works I won’t switch unless they stopped working! Thanks for always keeping it real even though I haven’t finished the video.
I won't be buying Rhianna products solely off her hair or wigs don't look that good to me & her natural hair looks like it was damaged & had to be cut off. I think this is just expanding her brand & not about quality. I use Cecred & it's amazing tbh ... my hair never looked so good, cleansed, healthier, moisturized & it's repairing damage. Amazing review btw
Leaving my thoughts here as the products just launched in Canada and I was just able to get my hands on/use them this past weekend! To start off NOBODY CAN EVER MAKE ME HATE EITHER OF THESE BLACK WOMEN! I’m so proud of them for continuing to lay a pathway for black women The only reason I purchased Fenty Hair instead of Cecred is due to costs and how long it takes for it to arrive in Canada vs. Being able to go to Sephora or purchase online and get the products quickly. I personally really loved the Fenty Hair products. I love the scent and for me (I have 4b/c hair) the products added a lot of moisture and softness to my hair! The shampoo feels like a staple for me and I loved how easily the deep conditioner applied and also def angled my hair. My hair felt very health after using the instant repair product along with the heat protectant. Again this was just my experience but I think I’ve finally found the products that will work for me going forward Thank you for sharing your review and thoughts! I love your honesty
I want to try Cecred & the new Fenty Haircare line. I have so much in my Haircare stash I really need to get through some of it first but will be trying them. Your reviews are so comprehensive & I appreciate that.
Tried both Cecred and fenty and honestly Cecred is the top tier product by far! i wish they had stylers but the shampoo and conditioners are my staples for now.
I prefer Rihanna because she feel more connected and human to her fan, to me she sometime feel more easy to relate personality wise + she did a great job at marketing her hair line
@@Jessica.Shawnte la corrélation est qu'elle a fait du bon boulot au niveau marketing, qu'elle nous a déjà prouvé que ses produits étaient de bonne qualité et donc je suis plus encline a acheté ses produits, c'est bon pour toi maintenant ?
Thank you for yet another honest and thorough review. I wish my girl Riri every success but I’m not buying any of that line. My hair thrives from moisture and hydration. I’m not dropping that soft, foldable money on smell good products alone.
Although everyone is different, I’m also a severe allergy & asthma sufferer who happens to be blessed with migraines. I haven’t had my wash day as of yet, but I smelled every product just to see if that alone was an issue for me. It wasn’t. When I actually try it I’ll know better. I’ll come back to say when I do.
I really enjoyed your review! I tried the shampoo, deep conditioner, edge control and homecurl and I didn't care for them. They smell AMAZING but I don't think my hair responded well to as much as it did to Cecred. I used the Homecurl as a twist out but it did not define it kind of just sat on my head. Cecred has really improved the health of my hair in the last few months. Even though it's a little pricey I like what it's doing with my hair so I will invest. I will use the rest of the Fenty that I have (because we don't waste products) but I don't think I'll repurchase. Side note: the edge control is not for the 4C girls!
So glad the trusted OGs have started dropping reviews. No shade to the girls who put out videos on the first day, but they were definitely giving infomercial.😞
Love the way you lie...not the hot fire garbajè....😂😂😂 I knew your review was going to be the true and nothing but the true. I'll be purchasing all except rinse out conditioner and gelly type. Thanks Sis!!!
(LOL) I was laughing all the way through your video. I agree 100%! You hit on all points. Personally, if I had to choose between Fenty and Cecred, I would choose Cecred, Hands Down! Fenty The Home Curl Defining Cream would be the best for me. Thank you for sharing.
@@SheReaDelSolyeah I’m using both. Cécred shampoos and mask are chef’s kiss. If she had the hydrating conditioner it would be perfect. But I am using the Homecurl. I don’t love it but I’ll use it. I should have gotten the 5 in 1 leave in. This is the realest review I’ve watched. Great job.
Beyonce has been getting a lot I hate lately and I’ve noticed it more within the last two years. But I look at it as Rihanna has more younger fans than Beyonce, just my opinion.
I’m washing my hair with FENTY right now while I watch your review. I love the shampoo and conditioners for sure. I have Cécred too, but I haven’t used it yet. ❤
@@SheReaDelSolwell, we thank you for your service because this video was THOROUGH. Really liked the creativity in the editing, effects, and comparisons. Great job!
I purchased on my own the deep moisturizing bundle well worth the price and you don’t need a lot of product… along with conditioner… I have hair just past my shoulder…4c hair type… I used it and my curls popped, shampoo needs 1 pump for my length and lather and smells good… I used the regular conditioner and heat protector… i love that you don’t have to screw on the top and her packaging is top tier… my hair was hydrated… my next wash I will deep condition and I used these products right after I colored my hair so that is an added bonus and I didn’t do a clay mask on my hair ☺️…. WELL WORTH MY MONEY….
If celebrity lines work, I'm not mad at them. I like/used products from Pattern and Donna's Recipe. I'm not gonna try this out tho bc I feel like I've finally found my line-up 🤞🏼 love the vid so far
Girl I don’t know why your notifications were set to silence mode! YT is triflin’. I really appreciate this review and it makes me want to try out the products!
People will give a surface excuse and say they purchase Rihanna products because shes more relatable....ignoring the fact that they purchase product's everyday from unknown creators. Just say you dont like Beyoncé and go. After the fenty skin care debacle i would never trust her products in my crown. Good luck to yall.
I tried Cecred because it seemed to be a "basic" lets get back to hair and scalp health for real line. I was open to trying fenty styling products because given her hair styling history I felt thats where it may shine. But I don't know how I feel about things not playing well with others. Especially when one aint enough lol. Oh and the scent thing always gives me pause lol. But if she drops travel sized I'll try it 😂
I was waiting for your review. I have seen a few others but I don't know them like that. Lol but I do appreciate the review still on the fence but you did help me narrow down what in the lineup to get if i do decide to get anything. 💜💜💜
I haven't tried Beyonce hair products. Don't know why I haven't. I would try Rhianna products b/c the way Rhianna prescribes different hair types. She actually make a statement on different hair types. Sometimes when one speak on terms of making any terms of subject. You need to listen and pay attention whenever one speaks. Lots of us prefer to do our own hair, while some may go to a hairdresser.
Youre review is so good! Ive been avoiding any reviews of these products bc 1) I was online & saw the IMMEDIATE vitriol towards Cecred after Riri announced her line & 2) the protein content in every single product 😳 Youre the only content creator who mentioned the shade or just blatant disrespect. I simply won't be buying bc Im sensitive to protein. I have my staple protein products and i dont experiment with protein
I like both women and I am also an island gyal like Riri. Won’t buy either products mainly bc my trial and error days are over I have found exactly what products my hair likes. Thanks for reviewing both
As a loc'd girlie, I don't buy "luxury" haircare, outside of olaplex 3, 4 & 5, which I use monthly. Otherwise, shampoo is shampoo. I think people are more inclined to accept haircare from Rhianna, b/c she's established herself in the inclusive beauty space, where Beyonce felt more like a "celebrity hair care line" and a bit inauthentic. I'm not buying either line, but I can understand the different reactions.
@SheReaDelSol oh for sure! It's not the price point, my hair just doesn't require expensive product to thrive & flourish. I only use olaplex b/c it strengthens my hair after coloring. Otherwise, Kirkland shampoo & conditioner work just fine for my hair, as I don't require smoothing/detangling products b/c work against the locking process & gels cause buildup, which can lead to breakage in sisterlocks. When I was a loose natural girlie, I bought ALLLLL the products! 😊
Love your honest reviews!! I’ve seen about 5 reviews of these hair products and only 1 other vlogger gave her honest review in my opinion. I can read the ingredients list and determine if I want to spend more money on more products on a trial and error basis.
This is the first sponsored hair care video that I've seen that doesn't feel sponsored. Thanks for renewing my faith that it's possible... lol Subscribed! (Please continue to keep it honest no matter what temptations you're given to slightly skew your review based on the $$ and opportunities)
@@SheReaDelSol It wasn't an insult, I was giving you praise because videos I've watched from other creators you could tell they were avoiding saying some things. Nevertheless, I thought when you were gifted products, it still was considered a form of sponsorship... however I guess I'm wrong about that.
@@essenceofsoul27 I wasn't insulted at all lol. I was just letting you know that a sponsorship and gifting isn't the same thing. Thanks for watching and supporting 🫶🏾
I like that Fenty Hair is vegan and cruelty free, but like Cecred, I won't be purchasing. My favorite haircare line is actually Issa Rae's: Sienna Naturals. I mostly prefer to use those products and some Melanin Haircare products. I'm not interested in other lines and don't want to keep spending money trying products. Sorry Fenty, but I'm over it.
An all-inclusive hair care line makes no sense to the customer who's SERIOUS about their hair. For once, a celebrity should focus on one issue per line. At least Cecred placed emphasis on keratin-based recovery to strengthen hair. I would lije a hair care line that exclusively has 3-5 products for my hair type and condition. Make me want to buy THE WHOLE LINE, not one or two pieces and then look elsewhere!
I enjoyed this review so much! Honest and very informative. I appreciated the positivity and inclusivity most of all. There is room for all - just shop based in your needs, budget, and preferences. Its all good 😊.
Thank you for this thorough, enjoyable video. I was waiting with bated breath for your input. I have never purchased a celebrity anything, and don't see a reason to change this. I love your candor and detailed manner of sharing information. Your hair looks fab, per usual.
Amazing review as per usual! I will try this eventually but I’ve had Cécred for months and haven’t even cracked the seals on the jars yet 🤦🏾♀️ my stash needs a good purge before I buy anything else lol. Love your work!
I wish Rihanna tested the products on her own hair for at least 2 years first before launching it; because her ‘real hair’ is surprisingly short and even shorter than her husbands; so how does even she know that her hair care line is really any good…yet? 🧐🤔😣😩🤷🏾♀️🙏🏾🙌🏾👋🏾🇬🇧
I sort of agree. Fenty skin care sales great because it’s good and Rhi is known for having great skin. Her hair on the other hand is not something she is known for. So to me it did feel kind of rushed
I’ve tried Cecred and have some favorites that are now key in my hair care staples. Looking forward to more products. I look forward to hearing reviews of Fenty Hair.
When I saw jackfruit, I was sold...eating some right now, the Caribbean in me. I liked the shampoo, it was moisturizing for me and the scent. I tried the shampoo, deep conditioner and light conditioner. Packaging definitely gives lux.
I’m watching your video with no intention of purchasing the products! 😂 I just love your reviews. On another note how do you talk about your hair products in a wig. Navy don’t attack!
Amazing review and beautiful results!😍 Also loved your ranking system! Now I'm tempted to buy the curl defining cream and the comeback kid and use the combo for a braid-out too lol
For me, I have loved all the Fenty products so naturally, I wanted to try the haircare. I haven't tried Cecred but I will. I just don't have the product background with Beyonce. I like her though.
I personally don’t try to pick up every new product under the sun. I’ve been in the game too long for that. I look for products that fit my hair’s needs. Also I have allergies so heavy fragranced products are not my friend. For that reason I will have to pass although that “comeback kid” bond building product is intriguing. She expensive though. 😂😂😂
