As a mere guitar player who is interested in the organ, this is the first time I have ever heard someone clearly explain the function of drawbars. Nice video.
Extremely thoughtful, thorough and honest review. Very informative. You explained and demonstrated the drawbars clearly. You are a terrific player and very insightful from a practical standpoint. Thank you! 👏👏👏
Thanks so much for the explanation of how an organ works. I've been a keyboard player for decades and an now just thinking about diving into the organ world. With the Crumar Mojo 61 in fact. Cheers
I use a couple of systems. 1.) stereo Bose S1 s with a sub or 2.) center point stereo keyboard amp with or without sub. Recently I’ve been using in-ears and routing to the front of house.
that's tricky. i liked the sound of the Mojo 61 better when i bought it, but it's possible it's less robust for touring/gigging than the hammond. i suppose it'll depend on your use(s).
I often use the built in rotary sim. It’s good. Vent is better, thicker, broader. Since I play guitar and other synths, I love using the Vent on those too.
great vid. What's the name of the tune at the 6:12 mark? I love that tune and would love to learn it, but cant remember the name to search for it. Any help would be appreciated.
I’ve got a mini vent that if I’m honest I only use in the studio. The vent just sounds better, mostly in the saturation, than the built in. But it’s a slight difference on stage, in an amp. I also use a “tall and fat” pedal for saturation in front of the vent. Again mostly in the studio. This may be because I’m always trying to scale down my pedal set up
To turn off the Leslie on the Crumar Mojo 61 for use with the Neo Ventilator, is it good enough to just push the Run/stop button? Or is there a way to completely turn it off on the mojo?
okay. i think to completely turn off the leslie sim we'd have to use the browser app editor. (though for some reason i couldn't get it going last night.) that said, i had good results completely braking the leslie, and turning the drive to off.
