I picked up one of these at my local Military Surplus store and only paid $50.00. And since I picked it up myself there was no shipping. Also included two sustainment pouches and a canteen pouch. It is in great shape as well. So in short I would not totally count out your local surplus store.
i just ordered this for 60 from sportsmansguide but they are out now. i look forward to it. it arrives tomorrow. my local surplus store has them for 80. and i just got mickey boots for 29 at my local store. i have a few great surplus stores near me
i found mine at Jacks Outdoor Gear in Ames Iowa for $80 and it is worth every penny. Mine has the sleepsystem carrier and a few other things and it is desert camo. i love it. the only problem ive ever had with is is my gear bounced around alot while on a canoe/backpacking trip in minnisota because i had so much extra room lol
Great video. The only other thing I would mention is that now you can get a newer generartion 1603 tan frame that's suppost to be even better yet again vs. the molle II frame. Thanks for a good video and explaination though. It's helped a lot.
$ 21 and change shipped for the whole setup from E-Bay, used of course but in great shape. The frame was cracked so I bought a 4th gen frame for $13 shipped plus I had to buy sustainment pouches.
How do these external frame packs compare to the newer recently surplused Marine corp Internal frame main packs in Marpat camo? I bought an aluminum tree stand dirt cheap off someone who lost his job... However it has no straps or way to carry it... I was looking at alice frames w/straps on ebay for 18$ shipped.. same seller has these Rifleman frames with straps and belt for 36 shipped... How good are these used without the pack as packframes?
Hey Urban, I have a question. I am a State Volunteer and was wondering about a Northwest Territory Sierra Dome Tent from Kmart and was wondering for that kind of tent, what would be the best way to pack it on the MOLLE II like that one you have? Inside? Or at the top with the flap holding it down?
