If I recall correctly it was actually her fans, I think? Some of her fans heard about how Stephen Fry was going to be at that event(maybe they or a friend went to Harvard?) and so they messaged her about it but she couldn't really afford to go at the time, but the idea was so perfect that they(her fans) decided to donate money for plane tickets to get her there. I'm unsure how exactly she got booked there though, I don't remember that part.

No, he looks embarrassed because not even the most remarkable and adorable person in the world (which it could be argued he is), if they had even the smallest ounce of humility, could hear someone sing a song like that about themselves without blushing right down to their toes. I know you're probably well aware of this, but I think it's noteworthy that many people miss that the word embarrassment is a synonym not just for shame or self-consciousness, but also simply for awkwardness. How can you not be awkward while someone is singing a song whose basic message is, "You are such an amazing human being that most any person in the world would consider it an honor beyond measure to carry and/or raise your progeny, because we desperately need more people like you in the world?" Or you could even boil it down to, "We love you so much we even covet your sperm." I'm amazed at how well she got through the song. Can you imagine the lead up to that moment, anticipating what Stephen's face will look like and what his reactions will be, before you'd ever even been in his presence? You'd be giggling like a nutjob every time you thought about it - especially if you've watched enough QI to have strong memories of every time he's been made to blush on that show.

Until the very end, which I think was the right thing to do in the moment. :D

I hadn't made that connection in my head, but yeah, there's another delicious layer of irony in that.
