Another great performance by Molly Sandén from the Polar Music Award 2022, ”I don’t want to miss a thing” by Aerosmith! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oWoOQ_vIbvE.html
Sweden has a VERY strong presence in Eurovision and many many devoted fans so Will Ferrell being the honorary Swede he is very wisely chose to make the movie about Islands act cuz they don’t really care over there. The movie is so awesome and embodies the silliness and inclusiveness that is Eurovision 😍 also yes I am from Sweden.
Well to be fair, about the kids. They're Icelandic and used to the climate (not all nordic people but a lot of us don't freeze easily), plus I guarantee they have layers on layers. 😅 And Molly did us so proud in this performance! 😍 This is such a big in your face to those assholes in LA who told her she had to loose weight (meaning that how she is now is "fat"). Soo looking forward to see her live when she comes to my hometown soon. 🥰
THANK YOU! I was offended by their ignorance as well. We’re Nordic. Our cheeks have been red in summer and winter for 2000 years. I deal with weak Californians/Lower 48 tourists every year when they visit Alaska and complain about the “cold” at 20°C in July. That being said, Molly is a gift to the world. He beauty and voice are an inspiration. ❤️
I can't believe Molly was told to lose weight if she wanted a deal. Honestly, she's absolutely fab the way she is. She should have won her Oscar for this performance alone.
The movie is funny but also very warm-hearted and respectful with our beloved contest. Before the movie was released people were not sure about how bad it could be, since it was played and produced by Will Farrell, but it really surprised all us. And the OST is epic.
I left my home country in 1979. When I hear this song I break down in tears as if I was 9 years old again leaving my hometown. I can never go back as I escaped a horrible dictatorship. I am grateful for the life I have here in USA but but the longing to be home again, to live free there, enjoy the beauty of my home country will never go away.
Another Swedish connection: The Swedish Viking Gardar Svavarson discoverd Iceland in the 860s. He spent a winter in what was to become Husavik. He built a house there, and hence the name Husa (house) vik (bay)
Irish monks was the first to colonize Iceland about 700 AD. Second to that was Scandinavians. Sweden, Norway and Denmark wasn't established countries at that time.
Eurovision Story of Fire Saga was an unexpected really nice feel-good movie, sure it's long but I think it's justified. Will Ferrel and Rachel McAdams play Icelanders who live in Husavik. They don't play Americans.
It is a bit confusing, but the common thread is Will Ferrell: His wife is from Sweden, and they spend time there every summer. And so that’s where his idea of making a movie about Eurovision came from. Now, given that Sweden is normally a powerhouse contender in Eurovision, they chose a smaller country as home base for Will Ferrell’s character, to make him the underdog. But for that soaring finale they went for a Swedish songwriter, producer and artist respectively - something Will Ferrell probably knows a little more about than the average American.
👋🏼Hi, for Sweden🇸🇪. I have seen you’re reactions many times.😊 Molly Sandén is one of the best singers from Sweden🇸🇪 and I recommend you to listen to more from her.🥰🎶🥰🎶 Also hope you have seen the hole movie now?😁😉 Eurovision is big thing in Sweden, we are very involved from the start to end. Hugs 🤗
Children wear traditional icelandic sweters, they probably have a few layers on, lots of fish for those kids. Its moore comedy/drama kind of movie. Husavik is a small town nothing is big on Iceland they are probably in total 400.000 and some live abroard.
Oo I haven’t seen your videos in a while! Question, have you heard any of the Eurovision songs of this year yet? The final was a few weeks ago. If you haven’t I’d suggest reacting to a few because there were some great contestants. My personal favourite was Bulgaria🇧🇬but would also love a reaction to Romania, Greece and many others. Cheers from Sweden!

0:42 Will Ferrell, not Will Smith... Yeah, the movie is funny! Especially if you know a thing or two about Eurovision, but I think it´s funny even if you don´t. Please, watch and react to it! Will Ferrell has a Swedish wife, and Swedes love Eurovision, and the first year he happened to watch (in 1999) Sweden won. So he has thought about this idea, a movie about Eurovision for a long time. I think you'll really enjoy it. There are a lot of Eurovision stars that has cameos in it too, so after you've seen it, you might be curious to watch their performances on Eurovision too. 2:37 No, it´s not at the Oscars. Molly didn´t get a work permit to get into the US to sing this at the Oscars, so instead they filmed this in Husavik, Iceland (Hus=House, Vik=Bay, so it´s literally "House Bay". In the 860s the Swedish viking Gardar Svavarsson found an island (Iceland) that he named Gardarsholm (Gardar's Isle), and built a house in a bay, which became Husavik. 3:07 Yes, look behind her, at the sky at 2:57, the Northern lights, aurora borealis, that´s what inspired her outfit. 7:58 Husavik is the hometown of the main characters in the movie (played by Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams). Yeah, Molly´s from is Huddinge, in Sweden. The song is written by Swedes Fat Max Gsus, Rickard Göransson and American Savan Kotecha
From my understanding they actually mixed Molly's voice with the actresses voice in post production in order to make it seem like the actress was really singing. To Mollys credit, she didn't make a big deal about it.
It is no problem if you use a blur filter for the videos (due to copyright) .....we all here in Europe know the Eurovision songs and videos. For us your reaction is important. So, that said ....I hope you will react to the winner of Eurovision 2021 - the italian rock band Maneskin and the song "Zitti E Buoni". That band is stunning and has so beautiful songs like "Torna A Casa" and "Coraline".
Did you know that Eurovision is coming to the us? " Europe’s favourite TV show will travel across the ocean to the United States of America! The American Song Contest will take place during the holiday season of 2021. The American version of the Eurovision Song Contest will, as it is currently conceived, position the artists head to head against other states’ representatives in a series of 5-10 televised Qualifier Competitions, leading to Semi-Finals and the ultimate primetime Grand Final."
@@ReactToTheWorld Well, the idea is, that the winner of the US competition should be sent to the Eurovision. at least further on into the planning. I dont believe thats the case at this time though. Australia is allready in the Eurovision, and they do their own rounds, wich they send to Eurovision. And it was actually ment as a one-timer. But Australian entrence to this competition was a success, so they are still in the competition. Its kinda like Israel, that also in competing in the contest, but its not really an european country. ANd the funny part is that its the Swede Christer Björkman who is the man in charge of the preparation of the American version. He has had his fingers in the Eurovision for years, and Sweden has been into that mix also for years with our Svante Stockselius who change the core of the eurovision 1 competition, to several shows. In Sweden there are I 4 Semi-finals, 1 the second chans, and then the Final. And Eurovision is kinda the same now.... 2 Semi for qualification, and then a Final. And strangly enough it sems like Sweden sends a team from our state television to help out especially smaller countries who dont have the economic to pull a huge show like this off.
Check this out - Molly Sandén together with another one of Swedens greatest: Miriam Bryant. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jSEdnY7z5ZE.html They are singing one of Miriams songs "Blåmärkshårt (Mi Amor)" (I don't know how to translate that but it is basically about holding on to something/someone so hard that it gives you bruises) in a TV-show where Benjamin Ingrosso (on the piano, also a famous singer here) invited friends and colleagues for food, drinks and music and then they just hang out and do some amazing collaborations. Before you ask: Chris Kläfford was not in the TV-show (yet anyway) ;) But there are som other great performances. Like this, "I wanna know what love is" - cover with Benjamin Ingrosso and Amanda Bergman (singer in Amason): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Mj9OEA9nIi8.html
Great reaction !!! I have a proposal for myself - will you make a film about a talented young singer Viki Gabor? She has an amazing voice !!! She can sing a lot of riffs and run and also whistle like her idol Ariana Grande :) I would be very interested in your movie about her. Viki has great potential to become a star all over the world. She is only 13 years old. In 2019, she won the Children's Eurovision Song Contest. Viki Gabor - Somewhere Over The Rainbow | "Nie Ma Jak u Mamy" You will find the link above after sorting.Regards :)..
This year we don't have a superstar in swedish idol. When they hit there max they are good. The most interesting artist is Eric but the girl Amena Alsameai will probably hit a homerun soon. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wIQKvwKKNsQ.html We do have a icelander 🇮🇸 this year Birker. Caspar I loved but right now he do hamburger comercials, but it will maybee take a few years.
The movie isn't only funny, there is a lot of history and many details that you will miss if you know nothing about Europe or the Eurovision Song Contest.... EuroVisionSongContest is OLD, from the early 50's... and very popular all around the world, except the US ofcours , I wonder why :) Molly really wants to get into the US music industry, but the US thinks SHE is trash and to FAT so they don't want her.... So she went back home again, to Sweden.... and then this happened.... Singing the songs in a big movie, at the Oscars.... Strange indeed... A couple of years ago the US didn't want her in the US.... NOW, they are Cjust fine with her....
When you say Sweden is number 2 after US...... I want you to do some maths. Sweden, 10miljon citizens. US , 330miljon citizens. So now multiply Swedens veiwer procentage by 33. That matches THE real Numbers. Much Love 💙💛💙
OMG I'm offended. Don't compare the beautiful Eurovision to the ugly American Got Talent. American Got Talent is about dumb entertainment and Eurovision is about talent
you guys talk too much in the video would yo u please have some respect and not talk so damn much.. please be quitet for a few please.. and stop critisizing our American artists.. you people are nice but you talk to much during the video..
