She sure is. Covid brought me to Molly Sanden from Southern California. There's nothing wrong with being in isolation for 4 months with Molly's voice by choice.
I dont need to know the words to know talent. This young lady's voice is out of this world. She is amazing. Thank you netflix now i know who she is and want to hear more.
Really wasn’t aware of Molly..What a shame for me ..Got here after watching Eurovision movie and searching about the song HUSAVIK.. Bravooooo... Bravooo to Molly , to composer and to lyricist..Just beautiful😍😍😍😍😍
For everyone who is here from the Eurovision movie, this song is also from a Netflix production, a Swedish Netflix series called “Quicksand” which is really good!
Came hear after Eurovision fire saga... She is hidden gem. ❤️😍🔥 Her voice takes into some other world.. She is amazing... Thank you for giving us The Husavik song... Those notes at the end... Wowwwwww
This is a touching, and very relatable song. This is the main reason why I haven't decided to check out on a few occasions. Can't let others be stuck cleaning up my mess.

I don't know any Swedish but wanted to understand the lyrics, so looked them up. Any Swedish speakers, please correct if any lyrics are wrong. Thank you =) English translation: Pink Sky Pink sky over penthouse millions Pink sky again Pink sky and the black SUVs Have double parked half the town The feed full of LA palm trees Laptops, drinks, hits in panic I take another year on the subway Someone must stay, I mean please Pink sky over bridges and water Bull City butter again Pink sky and the students are flipping out Pumping house from the truck beds No clouds, just hot air balloons Seventeen, I swear Pink sky and I screenshot the color Half the picture and the advertisement
Hello! The lyrics for this song are a bit special to say the least and even Swedes have a hard time reading into them, so it is more or less up to you how you want to perceive them, but it looks like you got the translation right at least. The only thing I question is if she sings "laptopsdrinkar" or "laptops, drinkar" since that would translate to "laptop-drinks" or "laptops, drinks." It is hard to tell though due to the flow of the song when singing these two words together. In any case, with the first translation I personally believe it is an insinuation on modern life where you may have a drink at home all alone and socialize or entertain yourself on the computer. Something of a sad reflection on modern society. I could go into my interpretation of the meaning of these lyrics, but I will spare you. The only other thing I'd point out is "Bull City butter again" which in Swedish basically means "Bull City adds butter again" or "Bull City butters again" if you translate it directly. Bull City is some sort of burger joint it seems after a quick Google search. I'm not familiar with the best way of saying this in English though. Can you use it as a verb in English as well and say that you butter something? Anyway, your translation looks good.
@@Mortac Thank you so much! I still don't really understand the "Bull City butter" part but the RU-vid English translation says "Bull City lubricates again". From what I can find, Bull City is the nickname of a city called Durham in North Carolina, USA (with the burger joint being at said city). Your description of "laptopsdrinkar" has helped me understand a concept I didn't even realise was there. For some reason I first envisioned drinking coffee in a coffee shop whilst working on a laptop, not drinking at home.
@@Jen.V843 "Smörar" can really mean two things in Swedish: It means you add butter, fat or oil to something, or it means you are sucking up to someone. I think it's safe to exclude the second meaning. I believe it's just a random line to somehow say that life goes on and another day passes by. My guess is that it has some personal meaning to the writer due to the specificality of it.
