She's maturing now and she's well seasoned. She's blossomed into a real star and she has power! Molly Tuttle has arrived folks and she has now without a doubt stamped her authority on what a true songwriter singer is all about! The guitar hanging from her shoulders is an extension of herself and she can put her singing on pause and blast a few riffs on the fretboard and return to the singing like nothing ever happened. A true sign of many years practice from a musician who makes it look so easy! God blessed Molly Tuttle with a little more than he gave others and she's sharing it with us. What a girl! 🇨🇦🌹🌹❤️🎸🎸👍
@@CorneiliusLibowitz Absolutely agree. I've just been following Molly's solo career for some time and she has turned me onto some great collaborators including Madison Cunningham. Hope Golden Highway stays with her. If not I will follow them. Music these days is as chaotic as a pinball game.
And Chicago too. She's only a "featured" player with the Stringdusters at the upcoming Sacred Rose festival.... If she was with this lineup, i'd consider going...
LIVE ON CBS IS ONE THING, BUT THE STATION INN IS IN ALL TOGETHER DIFFERENT GALAXY!!! LOVE MOLLY TUTTLE AND GOLDEN HIGHWAY......AND OF COURSE ALWAYS THE STATION INN! BRING BACK PAY PER VIEW FOR US OLD 75 YEAR OLDS! PLEASE!
If you can, drive down the U.S west coast. I was fortunate enough to make that journey many times. Redwood forest is out of this world. Ocean scenes are wonderous.
Fifth some years ago I lived in a small studio apartment on Geary Street in San Francisco for something like $75/month.😄 That certainly isn’t happening anymore . Great song 👍😎
Molly makes me feel like i am always at home what i didnt have since child and have settled and made peace with myself and calm..and i feel that its me..this style of music this speaks truly me..
I ask myself - is there enough of an audience for this kind of music in the UK/Europe to make it worth Molly bringing her band over? Having said that, I only 'discovered' Molly thanks to her appearance at the Celtic Connections Festival (online edition) in January 2021. She was performing in Nashville as part of the Transatlantic Sessions evening.
LYRICS In the town where I was born Here on the coast of California By the dock of the bay they often tell A tidal wave just hit the shore And folks like me we can't afford To stick around here in this town we love so well I got the San Francisco blues Now there's nothin' left to lose I can't afford the dues and so I'm leavin' I miss the stars that used to shine And the days of '49 But most of all I miss the California dreamin' Before the fires before the quake Before the crash of '08 there was magic You could feel it in your heart But raise the rent and scrub the street It gets so hard to make ends meet Now I can't even pay to ride the cable cars I got the San Francisco blues Now there's nothin' left to lose I can't afford the dues and so I'm leavin' I miss the stars that used to shine And the summer of '69 But most of all I miss the California dreamin' I swore I'd make it back to stay To my home across the bay And how I've rambled every way Just like the wind blows But now I'm lost here on my own In a world that was my home I must have left my broken heart in San Francisco I got the San Francisco blues And my heart is broken too I can't pay the dues and so I'm leavin' I miss the stars that used to shine And the days of '49 But most of all I miss the California dreamin' Most of all I miss the California dreamin'
Really enjpyed hearing your music! Just wondeed if you know the song called "The Dimming of the Day" by British folksinger songwriter, Richard Thompson? It's a great song and any chance it would be a song you could cover?
Rings so true...... Except that Santa Clara ( where mollys from) is about 45 miles from San Francisco. It's more like San Jose..... Techville USA...uugh...btw Blues there too.....😥
Don't know the model but is a Pre-War Guitar Company guitar note no name on the Headstock that how they make them. most likely a D18 style she seems to use these the most for live performance.
Molly I wonder if their is any family ties between your family and ours. My dad worked 34 years for Hewlett-Packard and parked next to Dave and Bill. Perhaps a genealogy reference trip is required. My dad passed away in 2007. Many in the our family genealogy are from NY state. His father was chief editor of Rowe Peterson Children's books. Based out of Illinois.
