This song has an interesting story, Randy Ebright the band's drummer is a DEA's Agent son and is an American Citizen, he arrived to Mexico as a teenager and many years latter he married with a Mexican and had children. One day in an US airport the agents check his daughter, just for having a Mexican passport, as you can imagine, Randy felt very angry and wrote this song, after living too many years in Mexico, he feels like a Mexican, and his daughter's check was a an insult and a racism act.

This was a great reaction most RU-vidrs react to it without understanding the Spanish part and they dance happily. When it's very important to us that you clearly get it. Even today I have seen people who treated bad Latinos for speaking Spanish in public places. This is the way we see USA, I know it is not all people but as well you suffered discrimination for who you are, Latinos have the same struggle. I went to the US with my family for vacation last year and I was afraid of being in a situation like this cuz they don't speak English and I was the interpreter. unknowncommander29 Well, it turns out that half of the Mexican territory is now part of the United States. It all started when Texas became independent from Mexico and annexed to the United States. Then the US wanted to seize more territory and wanted to buy those territories from Mexico. Santana, the then president of Mexico, refused and a war broke out between the two countries. The United States took Chapultepec and threatened Mexico to give it the territories. To prevent further deaths, the Guadalupe-Hidalgo treaty was signed and so the US stole half of the Mexican territory. Since then in Mexico Santana is considered a traitor for selling those territories. That's why the song says it wasn't Santana's fault, but the United States.

3:27 this guy, Randy is the author, he is a member of this band, he is an american guy who came to live to México since teenager. He wrote it cause he lived a personal experience with inmigration officers, they didn't let his mexican daughter get into USA, but he was allowed the entrance.
