A former K-Pop idol and one of China’s biggest stars, Kris Wu, has made international headlines after serious allegations were made. The Chinese Canadian celebrity has lost many fans, brand sponsorships and endorsements, and is now facing legal action after ex-girlfriends speak up.
What did this celebrity do to get all of China to dislike him? Are the allegations as bad as they seem? We’ve done some digging, and here’s what we found out.

The comment about him badmouthing his former bandmates isnt hard to believe. The members were upset at him when he left the group, while the other 2 chinese members who (later) left were fully supported and respected by the members. Might have something to do with Kris’ attitude/behavior.

This sort of investigation is an obligation and duty, and so carrying it out is nothing to applaud. Of course any government has a responsibility to do so. It is that any authorities who fail to carry out an investigation where due warrant condemnation, rather than that those who do warrant applause.

Its relatively easy to predict. Especially since likable people are the only ones that can even commit these acts. Everyone thinks a monster has to be unlikable, but while that's sometimes true never in these situations because, by definition, they require people to trust them before that trust can be horribly abused. @heather It's normal for their culture, When the Kris Wu scandal happen so many Chinese actors found themselves blacklisted based on small mistakes or actually crimes and they found themselves, and the shows they were on were taken down from public view. Kris Wu isn't the first person to have all of his work taken down in 2020 a chinses actress got into a surrogacy child abandonment scandal and all of her work was taken down as well.

this happens way too often. There are still people defending Seungri after the whole Burning Sun scandal and his trials....and they always stay on the Idols side not believing the victims. Because "Oppa could NEVER!". This is happening all the time for a few years now. Yes, some allegations are proven false - but they rather show their support to oppa... begone THOT I don’t have “hard proof” about this but when you just look at his overall attitude and behavior within the group dynamic it isnt that hard to believe that he was rude towards them off camera. Also the fact that the exo members supported the other Chinese members parting from the group and not him speaks for itself I think.

Luhan's and Tao's departures were smooth, even Luhan still befriend the members in Instagram and Tao still talked about them in talk shows when he is already solo artist. Kris never talks about EXO and never appreciated them in any way. Even EXO members til now still talk about their predebut days when there were 12 of them, acknowledging Kris's existence

News about Kris happened broke out around 2 months ago because I remember when it was announced that he was arrested. It happen around a time many Chinese actors found themselves getting canceled/ blacklisted or arrested by the Chinese government. Kris Wu was just the tipping point of the Chinese industry because it showed case true bad behavior can happen and they do deserve it, but also small mistakes that other actors who got blacklisted did not deserve.

As fans, we should respect our limits. We can't support them for everything. You don't get rewarded for bad behaviour, that will only cause a terrible upbringing for a child. Once the child grows into an adult, their decisions are their own. Your child will always remain your child no matter what. But, in the same way you'd discipline your child for doing something wrong, the law will punish those who commit crimes. All in all, it is his burden to carry, he should be even more ashamed by what he's putting his loved ones through.

While I don't speak as a mother, I speak as an adult woman who knows the pain of SA. I'm sure she as a woman has faced it too, as most women have. When a serious crime such as SA happens, to such young children, one needs to hold the perpetrator accountable, even if it means that it's your own child. Ofc she wanted him to be innocent. If they have enough Evidences and those evidences grant them the rights for a Death Penalty, then he will get one. There is nothing China wants more than setting an example. A Celebrity, a public penalty that no one can deny, they'll make an example of him for sure should the chance arise. Unless Kris plead guilty and come to an agreement with Government... for example, Kris rumors to have released 47 names & evidence of partners in crimes, some are other influencers, producers... alike... And since the rumors started... a few days later... Zhao Wei were erased from China's media as well... without an official reason provided, so many believe she was removed due to Kris' statements or arrangement with government because Zhao Wei & Kris are closed, and if anyone were to have dirty on her, it would be Kris.

i'm an e×o-l but i never really felt comfortable with kris. i remember back when i became their fan, i literally cried when luhan and tao left but not with him. i just get quite sad about his leaving but that's it. it's just.. i'm feeling some sort of weird and uncomfortable feeling whenever i see him and i didn't know why back then.

Honestly, someone who liked Kris ever since he was in EXO and finding out what he's been doing now, really shocked me and made me disappointed in him. Sadly, I cannot forgive Kris for this, Kris is an adult and should've known better but I guess what we see on camera of our idols is a completely different image off-camera.
