Mom Allegedly Strangled Her 3 Children to Death 

Imagine supporting your wife that just murdered your kids. If it was truly something going on in her head, its still sickening and I couldn't live my life with someone who murdered 3 children. My heart goes out for those kids.

I am a mom, the thought of losing my child kills me, I wouldn’t want to live after. I just can’t imagine I am literally in tears. Kids, with so much joy, hope, murdered by their own very protector. The more I know about this world, the more I want to stay away from people

The worst part about this is that they died while getting strangled!! I can’t imagine how they felt 😢these kids had a whole life to live and it’s just a tragedy.

Psychosis is no joke. People have no idea.

There is not excuses to do this to your own kids.

Why is the father acting so indifferent toward his wife's actions? She killed his 3 kids, and yet he's so calm about it, enough to go on literal TV with a forgiving attitude.

How could she be a labor and delivery nurse and do such a despicable act like this...

I heard how agonized the father's screams were on 911 call when he found the children. He had started working from home because the wife had been hospitalized for her condition. She deliberately sent him out of the house and farther away then normal to get food so she could murder the children. The first thing she said when she was coherent was she probably needed a lawyer. I think this was cold blooded premeditated murder. Seems like she wanted to hurt the father.

Having bad thoughts doesn’t mean murdering three of your kids.

It’s sad to keep seeing things like this. It cannot be ignored. I feel so sorry for these children. May they rip. She doesn’t seem like she has remorse though.

Every child deserves a Mother but not every Mother deserves a child

I know this kind of story it’s very bizzare , but it almost happened to me right after i gave birth with my son. I told my mom that i feel so different mentally and i have a thought of putting my son in microwave. believe me i also have a crazy thoughts of burying him in our backyard and how to start it without being caught. But i just thought it would be so impossible. Good thing i told my mom about it then she decided to help me out on taking care of my newborn so i can get well rested. She made me hold my son only for feeding but the rest of the days she would take my son to her room. Postpartum is real. My son now is 8 years old and i couldn’t imagine the thoughts i have for him in the past. I love him so dearly. I even spoiled him and he is the boss in our home😀

I guess mental health is the excuse we give now 🤦🏽‍♀️

How could you look at those innocent faces and do such a horrible thing. Absolutely disgusting. Rest In peace.

Why do these women always say that they have postpartum depression when they kill their children. They never just kill themselves. Always the kids.

postpartum depression and psychosis can happen to any mother and it’s not predictable and it can worsen over time if they don’t have the help or support. it’s also not talked abt enough bc of the stigma and and shame around it which causes many mothers to just suffer in silence and then tragedy like this happens and it’s already too late. rip to those kids.

Not excusing this in any way as it is horrific, but so many people in the comment section have no idea what psychosis is actually like and the things people can do on it. I was prescribed antidepressants and it gave me multiple psychosis/manic episodes with terrible intrusive thoughts that I couldn't control and my mind felt like it was splitting apart. I'm just glad I had someone there to ground my mind.

Hate to say it but post partum can make you hallucinate. My little sister lost her mind, wish people knew this. It's not as uncommon as you think post partum is real, and it turns you into someone else

This is just downright tragic.

I’m so sick of the media blaming mental illness for the reasons for murder. If she was a man I’m positive she would not have this much sympathy.

I work as security at a hospital and have seen postpartum psychosis 2 times... if you never have then you have no right to talk.

Prison is the only place she needs to go and her husband is crazy for staying by her side

The two fathers were completely aware of the risks and still kept their children close to the mothers.

Doesn't matter if she was in her right mind or not, dangerous people who've commited (or attempted to) such a heinous crime shoud be locked up for life in order to prevent them harming others.

I've never heard post partim lasting months or years. I had it with my first one. It's a state of mind. A struggle that needs to be dealt with. I don't see why hospitals don't monitor new mother's. It is a hospital after all. When you see someone struggling emotionally, step up and help. If they refuse help then it's time to worry. All I needed was someone to help me for a couple of weeks till I felt I could handle it on my own. I thank God for the woman who helped me.

I have been crazy and let me tell you, it is scary. It is scary to have something inside of you tell you to do something. Luckily, I had another part of me that discouraged me from acting on those darker impulses. This lady didn't

I wouldn't want to live anymore if my wife did something like and i can't imagine forgiving such a thing. Illness doesn't change the situation that he is right now in. This is unimaginable for me. Tears come to my eyes thinking about this. Such a horror.

I've had a physcotic episode. Luckily, I got help - although rather late and not to the standard it should have been at all. I wasnt aggressive, but I wasn't myself. If someone told me I'd done something unthinkable during this time, I wouldn't have been surprised. It is an illness. A very bad, all consuming one. There is no excuse for what happened to these children... the mother should have been able to access better support for her mental health. The 'system' also failed these children.

How can you say that she was "in the process of getting help that didn't come in time", and then say she was on 12 different meds? Granted, we don't know what the meds were to treat, but clearly she was seeing someone who could have or should have intervened.

As someone who does not like kids and never wanted them, I would start throwing up if I was actually strangling a child. I could never go through with it.

Imagine those kids last moments. And yet the mother is the victim. I don’t think so. If that’s the case every mother can commit murder and use postpartum as a justification. All the people trying to provide justification is just as demented as the “mother.”

I don't think she deserves sympathy for what she did, just like how serial killers don't receive sympathy for their psychological dispositions. On the other hand, postpartum depression and psychosis is a real thing. My aunt had it after giving birth to my cousin, you stop caring about life, you physically don't want to be anywhere near your baby. My mom took care of my cousin for the first three months, while my aunt was trying to cope. It's a real thing. It's not something these mothers choose and want. If we ignore this, or write it off as a simple excuse, we give up on suffering mothers completely. It's a real thing, they can't control, we need to at least show consideration for it.

There is still no excuse for killing your kids on purpose like idc what’s going through your head YOU SHOULD NEVER TAKE ANYTHING OUT ON ANYONE ELSE even your kids and then the kids dad forgiving her like she just murdered your children this is just sickening to watch and listen to

Wow this is so sad seeing that I lost a grandchild. To child abuse it broke me. So I can't say anything bad. It just hurts so much. Those poor babies 😔🙏🏽

Post partum depression is freaking real. People leave their bodies, it's like they're present but not there. My dear friend had it and had to be hospitalized for a while. She too had become psychotic, aggressive. She thought her kids were in danger. Such a terrible feeling. It reminded me of seeing this awful PETA video of pelting farms, where foxes would eat their pups just to spare them the suffering. Imagine feeling such despair. Breaks my heart. She's so much better now. Immediate help is completely necessary and life-saving.

If you're dealing with depression at worst take it out on yourself not others, not by doing school shootings, not by killing your own family. There's no excuse for this

This is absolutely gut wrenching, and very terrible to see whether or not she was in postpartum. She still deserves full penalty of consequences of her actions.

I had postpartum depression with my youngest daughter. I would go to the beach and deal with my issues daily. I wouldn’t ever want to hurt my kids

I’m reminded of the story of Susan Smith from nearly 30 years ago when she drowned her kids in a lake.

The doctor and drug company for the meds should also be charged as accessories to the murders. Those meds explicitly warn that side effects can cause you to kill people.

A girl I went to school with killed her child. she looked up how to "get rid" of her child on the internet. It was pretty disturbing to think that someone you knew since middle school is a killer. I think she ended up getting sentenced to 20 years. Happened within the last couple years.

She needs to go to prison!! That’s so so so messed!! Prayers to those poor children. Her husband shouldn’t be by her side in my opinion. She’s crazy.

She described her infant as the "most difficult human being she has ever known." Yet she had a facade of pure joy 🤔

I understand postpartum depression is a real thing, but I can’t say I feel like she should be let off even if she did legitimately have it. If I were her husband, I would have made sure to never leave her alone with the children until that was resolved. There’s blame to sprinkle around all over the place here 😔 Those poor kids 😓

After having a baby your hormones drop. I had crazy thoughts after having my daughter. Thank God I grew up in church because I was strong enough to shake off the feelings I had. Took me a week. Post postpartum should discussed more amongst women.

She must go to prison and pay for her crimes.

Depression doesn’t negate the fact that this human is no longer fit for society, 3 counts of first degree murder and 3 life time sentences is the least harsh sentence she could ever get for the safety of herself and the world at large

Such a sad story that I don’t believe anyone can really judge unless you’re a professional and understand the complexities of such an illness. It seems very strange for mothers to do this to their children that they clearly love, but there’s also a pattern amongst mothers who do this, and the fact that the fathers can be so forgiving says a lot. There’s so much we don’t know about people and what happens behind closed doors. I wonder if the father saw the psychosis but didn’t realize she was a literal threat to their children and herself? My heart goes out to everyone…

Post partum is a real thing. It's a terrible horrible thing that happens to some women after childbirth. It isn't just "mom is a bad mom", it's psychosis, a mental illness

I'm not a therapist but I am a woman and I am a mom to 2 grown sons. I was 17 when I had my first son.. and your telling me this educated lady that's a nurse, works in labor and delivery, where I'm sure she's seen this type of mental health before.. and she certainly knows about birth control.. Just up and kills her babies. Someone that knew her had to of seen some kind of sign. It takes a very very special lady to be a mom to 4, 5, 6 kids. It's a shame someone didn't recognize she wasn't that kind of lady before it was too late.

This is similar to one happened in MN in 1998. A woman name Khoua Her strangled her 6 children to death because of the depression she had.
