These parents defended their unusual choices. In 2016, video of a 6-month-old learning how to swim sparked fierce reactions on social media. In 2015, a mother defended herself after she bought her three children over 300 Christmas gifts. In 2016, a mother got attention for skateboarding and doing tricks while wheeling her baby in the stroller at the same time. Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall has more.

I watched a documentary where this woman's story was covered in much more detail. Her daughters were pre-teen and teenager while her son was not two or three years old yet. I'm assuming that's where the difference comes in. The mom said during the year she would buy her children the necessities like clothes, etc. but it was really only Christmas, that she bought the kids gifts (besides their birthday) and they weren't ones to go on long vacations. Although that many gifts still seems excessive, she still included a lot of things that they would need/use throughout the year under the tree. It was their family's time to spend money and enjoy the holiday instead of doing it all year long. 🙂

Parents need to do this when I was I baby I was thought to do this and when I was around 8 years old I was able to save my own life because I was pulled under the water by the current and I survived and if I didn’t do this when I was young I wouldn’t be hear today.

Now do a segment on parents who defend truly unusual and dangerous choices for their child. For example: taking a child to a Drag Queen Story Hour; taking a child to a gay/transgender bar or strip club; allowing a child to have a sex change prior to the age of 18; advocating gay porn to children in public schools; and teaching CRT.

When you teach your 6 mo old children water safety, it's to turn over on their back and float. It's what I taught my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. It's a class through the YMCA and is great. You must teach your children to survive since they can be out of your sight 10 seconds and fall into the pool. It's a wonderful program. I've seen too many children who have drowned as a healthcare professional and vowed not to have my family be a statistic. My daughter started on a USAA swim team at 5 yrs old until she was 17 yrs. She loved it and it helped her severe asthma.

I remember seeing the little girl with dyed hair when I was about 10 and just WISHING I could express myself like that, I was also 10 at the time so I begged my parents to let my dye my hair a maroon red and they did! It made me happier than anything at that age to being able to do something so unique to me, and allll of the other kids my age thought I was the coolest and I got so many compliments, an awesome thing to experience at that age. I see no issue with letting a kid dye their hair as long as you do it healthy and safely. 6 years later, my hair is one of the biggest ways I express myself and I have had every color under the sun and right now I am rocking black, blue, and teal, and still keep healthy, thick hair! I also got a few piercings since then. :)

47 years ago, I took my 9 months old baby boy for swimming lessons given by a world swimming champion, in Montreal, que. His method was identical at what that lady did...the most natural way to do because babies have no fear and instinctively they turn on their back and float. Of course the instructor is with the baby like that mother. She is pretty smart and people were cruel to judge her. My son was swimming before he could walk. I am appall at how people could be so ignorant of the human nature. In these days, I am saddened by how society seemed to retrograde instead of evaluate. BRAVO my dear lady. I admire your good sense of judgement and your knowledge of human nature. I hope that people would wake up

so much "Karens" being upset about a good thing her mom was supervising. but this is to prepare her child INCASE an accident happens, and mom or dad isn't there she already lost her son, and that's 1 too many. this is training that every parent SHOULD teach their children, even if you don't have a pool at home (like what if this happens in a resort or beach) IMO, learning this should be more of a priority than learning "mama dada nana"
