And it did speak of a kingdom (actually a military state) ruled by 2 princesses (actually goddess generals)

Well if I were to say it correctly, think of Genshin and Honkai Star Rail as neighbors, They share the same universe which means that they have the same imaginary tree that's connected, I'm not a big lore expert but from what I've been seeing and hearing, it makes sense.

It's hoyoVERSE yes, they're linked by the same "tree" (not irminsul) together, that ties them all into the hoyo verse. Think of them on the same tree but different leaves. By that same logic, this is also applied to HI3.

I think on Herta's ship there is displayed a glider, so probably.

There are parallel to one another since both universes are neighbors in the world tree. It's quite common you'll see a resemblance in both universes despite having different laws on how their world works. HKI relays on the power of honkai. Genshin on the divine authority that gives vision as a source of power for those who are worthy. And HKSR much more similar with Genshin impact since both universes relay on element powers(minus the vision), but with the sole exception of stellaron. It's existence must be kept safe at all cause because it's power is more than creating life. Honkai star rail is more like akin to a twin sister to genshin impact. Since aether and lumine can be classified as stellaron. I based my theory on the latest lore drop where lumine was not a descender like aether. Instead she was summon in khanriah she never arrived there in the first place and pierro the first harbinger and dainsleif confirm this. Aether in another hand, was in fact searching for lumine that he crash land somewhere in khanriah only to be waken up by lumine during the catastrophy where they run away and was stop by the heavenly principle. Lumine and the trailblazer nor male or female had the same fate after they got summon. By the time they got summon a calamity is already started and that calamity was triggered because of their very existence.
