No, from what I can tell those 2 Charges are the Slash and the Backflip, press it once and he Slashes, press it twice and he Backflips, they're 2 attacks Xingqiu now just combines them with one button So not really, using a Sac sword would still work the same Edit: Nope it would be worse lol
iirc the reason they scrapped it was because testers were complaining that it made her too janky to play. the animation for the slash was also super long, which was a huge damage loss since the damage from the slash didn't make up for it.
Ningguang enhanced projectile is replaced by character buff after passing through the screen got 10% geo dmg. This is much better since it applies to all char and for Ningguang, the screen doesnt have to be inbetween Ning and enemy

Well, it may cause a little bit of trouble because it makes the animation longer, which would make her playstyle a little rough unless you can do animation cancel. It looks nice visually, but metawise, not so much.

I like that in the official version of claymore users' charged attack, all characters who are canonically experienced fighters do not spin their claymore and instead perform actual HEMA techniques. Skallagrim has talked about this, and for reference I recommend watching Björn Rüther's. Itto, Dori and Kaveh are however, exceptional.
It's got less to do with experience and more with models. All adult models have the slashes wile teens and lolis have the spin. Unless unique animation.
Things which should've been kept the same - Xiao's rapid and agressive attacks - Ningguang's normal attack enhancement when passing through the Jade Screen - Ayaka's Elemental Skill spinning animation - Venti's literal black hole
ayaka’s spinning animation looks like a mess. I’m glad they took it out because it adds to make a lot of visual clutter, including venti’s obnoxiously bright and messy beta version
One thing that bothers me is, that yae mikos charged attacks made fox sounds pre release, but they removed it. Also she had a purple circle above her head when her skill was ready, they removed it as well

its a good one. there is a debate whether Ayaka's old passive is good or the newer one is better. I would say the 10% Cryo Increase and stamina generation is better than the old passive (deals 300%ish to the opponents with less than 30% health). It can be good if they buff the numbers and fasten the animation.
Really hope they reintroduce Xinqiu's double-charge elemental skill to a new character, but make it more interesting like giving different benefits based on how many charges are used. Maybe using 1 charge can have on-field usage, while using 2 charges can have off-field usage.

@@Grenino also, some parts of CBT were more focused on looks rather than the actual gameplay. For instance, Ayaka could have been potentially vulnerable during her little spin and Venti's black hole looks cool until you remember that that was the same complaint for Kazuha and Ei.
I remember seeing Ayaka’s CBT very early on in the game, like early 2021, and thought she was so pretty. It’s amazing how far the game has come and the changes characters go through from beta to final release.
I can appreciate the visual change of venti's burst, the tbc version of the black hole looks fictional, while the official one acts like an actual black hole, which is that you cant actually see anything inside of one.
i like the ningguang cbt ver more, like making her charge be aoe slam while if she got some jade, the jades will fly like in official...but maybe hoyo decided that ninggiang charge is quite slow, so the just use same attack...also why didnt they make the cbt elem skill implement on official? i know why venti's burst looks like this now in official, pixels and graphics required is heavy compared now.....i did wish they give back klee's walking animation
CBT Ningguang reminds me of Silverwing N-EX from Honkai Impact 3 because of the jade screen and enhanced attacks which are rlly cool. I also loved her charged atk. They really nerfed her, I wish she had stayed the same.
They could really expand characters with if they gave them a 2nd kit via like an item or something and you could just go into character details to change it or go to their respective statue of the 7
i remember watching ningguang's closed beta gameplay before genshin launched and i instantly fell in love with the game. funny thing is my c6 ningguang is lvl 60 since launch
I really like ninngguang's personality, design, lore, voice in every language I truly admire her but her play style is pretty dry in CBT her charged attack looks way better I really wanna main her but the playstyle kills me everytime 😭
I thought the same until I got used to her. just NA's and burst and its satisfying to see all the enemies fly around since her rocks launch literally everyone into the air. Shes like a Geo Klee just juggling everyone out of existence
and of course there are also people that complain raiden shogun ring and slashes are too bright, just don't even think about bringing that blinding blackhole to the game
Ayaka's ult visual was diff and ayaka had a passive where she does a dash if shes in senho state while being under an enemy with like 20% health left . Theres like only 1 vid about it
