Preach girl! This video spoke to me. I lost 20lbs and started to plateau and stopped working out. Your advice is so helpful! Thank you!

These videos are so good! You hit spot on about the chronic illness. I learned the hard way. Thankfully I’ve been able to turn my health almost completely around! But yes DO NOT wait until you get to that point because the pain and suffering from illness is really awful. I always tell myself if I would have done what I am doing now 20 years ago I would have avoided so much misery and pain!! These videos are so important! Thank you for doing these videos!!!! ❤

I love to hear the passion in your voice for fitness! Really great tips! I'm a homeschooling mom of 6. My kids are all close in age like yours, so you are very relatable to me, and that is encouraging. Thanks for taking the time to do this series!

I love this!!! I watch several fitness gals here on RU-vid and my biggest complaint is that there aren't enough MOMS sharing! Prepping for our homeschool year and then STARTING our year put me in a serious rut for like 2.5 months and I just started back 3 weeks ago. Weightlifting is my FAVORITE form of exercise! I'm so excited to have found your channel! :)

aka Mommy... I couldn't agree more! That's why I wanted to share! There's enough bikini competitor info, how about real mom/real life stuff. Abs don't make themselves after 4 kids 😜 so happy to have you here!

I'm so excited too have found your channel!! I lost 40lbs. about two years and gained ALL of it back after I started homeschooling. I'm trying to find my groove again and I'm struggling. I have been looking for other homeschool moms who are living a healthy lifestyle and PUSHING WEIGHT! I am looking forward to watching more and gleaning what I can from you.

Hi! I'm a homeschooling mom of 3 young kids. Motivation is there but the logistics are tough because I work out at home and keeping everyone occupied and safe in the garage for 30-45 is difficult. Looking forward to more videos!

Hi! Boy do i understand that! That is a tough challenge to overcome, my top two suggestions, let them" join in" or use screen time for this very moment! Keep at it! Thank you for watching!

I have motivation, but I find that I'm tired and sleepy after.

Thank youuuuu!!! I’m a stay at home mom so mentally I’m drained. My boyfriend has 2 businesses so it’s a bit hard getting help. I’ve always been a fitness enthusiast and lately it’s been hard. I workout probably once a week. And it’s been so hard getting back to it. This was very helpful

I love your series! Thank you for choosing to do this. The last suggestion has worked for motivation in the past for me. I've also found it very motivating watching before and after (results) youtube videos of people who have completed a fitness program that I'm interested in.

Thanks for this video! I definitely hit a stage where I was not motivated to work out and it was because I was letting homeschool take over. I now realize I need to cut back in certain areas so I don't feel as run down and spread thin. Thanks girl!

Needed this video today. Been very consistent since June and I'm starting to feel blah about it. Taking more rest days that I don't need, feeling unmotivated. So frustrating.

I'll be honest motivation is not really my issue.... Unless I'm over training and. Not eating enough. I know this is probably not the problem of most people but I have a feeling u and I may be able to relate on that.... I have been hitting a plaute cause I cannot get my calories up to where they should be so I'm having to make some changes. I eat very clean and have food allergies that make me eat that way so it's actually a blessing. Also I would agree that alot of motivation struggles come when we're not mentally in a good place. As someone with trauma in my background I think working out has helped me through so many things mentally. It literally is this release I feel in my brain. So that is actually part of what motives me. I have seen depression and anxiety go away. I'm totally going to go buy the new running shoes now... Thanks for permission lol u know kids come first as mom's. I've had mine for two years and the rubber is about worn out. I run 7 miles once to four times a week. I switch things up all the time but I love to run so it's time thanks for series Do u have any tips on increasing calories or macros (I'm watching macros) to get stronger but also not being obsessive about it... And balancing how much to increase on days I workout twice a day Vs one Vs rest days I'm struggling on that one. I'd be happy to pay u for some advice on that if ud do an email consultation

Hooray for getting new shoes! thanks so much for sharing your story with me! i definitely plan to do a video on the topic you asked about, undereating is a struggle for me as well! Feel free to email me @ awilliams@mail.org and we can talk about what type of macro support you're looking for! Super happy to have you apart of this fitness community on here!

So excited to have found your channel! adorable channel name BTW. Are you a Christian? I'm a homeschooling mom of 7. Having them all in 13 years has taken its toll on my body. I'm so glad to be back in the gym. I was an athlete in high school & really want to be again. Hopefully I will get to a healthy weight/size as a by product of striving for that goal.

Oh man...good stuff. Remembering where I started. I have made a ton of progress. I started 185 & now 160. I have changed my eating. committed to Crossfit over a year now & now added Olympic Weight Lifting. Over the past 6 months, gsimed 10lbs without fat. So happy with that...BUT STAY frustrated because my expectations are too high. And my plate is too full. hmmm....I want to quit most days & I want it to be fun again. hmmm

Pchaw22 hugs sweet lady, you've made some great progress it sound like! But it is true our goals determine how we view our progress! Hang in there! It's not worth it to quit because then we have start over!

I have been working out for 2 weeks today. Now that isn't long...but I'm doing Jillian Michaels and I have never been able to do that. But the last couple of days I have just hit a phase where I don't have a lot of energy, and not really feeling the motivation. I still do the workouts, I just, like you said, am not mentally there. But there was a couple of things you said, one being look at where I am now compared to where I was. I can already see a huge difference. The other being a new workout. Now I am a Zumba girl. Lol I love Zumba, I just wasn't getting the results I wanted. But I'm wondering if only doing one Jillian Michaels workout, and throwing Zumba in at night would help? any advice you have would help so much. I love these videos you are putting out. they are helping so much!!
@GraceandGrit
@GraceandGrit 7 лет назад
Raylynn Reed hey thanks for watching! I loved reading where you are at! I personally wouldn't do two a days! That's hard!!! I say do two Zumba days as your cardio, and then the Jillians for more strength based training!

It is actually a scientific fact that there is one week every month for women, because of our cycles ovulation and menstruation, that women can lose up to 60% of your strength and energy. Be aware of when that happens for you and then you will be mentally prepared when it happens. There is also a time when we as women will be more hungry for days during our precycle. Those days will be harder for dieting as well. Be aware of your bodies cycle and you can prepare for and work with those times for you.

Would love to add protein bars / drinks to my diet. Tried one once that tasted like aspertain. Huge waste of money cause I couldn’t stand the taste. What do you love and what are the most affordable?

My husband uis a pilot and is gone a lot and I homeschool as well. I am with them 24/7 and I get to bed late and I get up an hour before kids. I used to be a ru her. I had my first 4 kids in 5 years, took an 11 yr break and had 5 more kids in 7 yrs so I never really completely lost that extra baby weight. I eat very well. Very health conscious in general and love exercise. I'm honestly jealous of those gym rats. I CAN'T get to the gym due to my physical reality and I want to start running but I like to have a plan. I also like to change it up with intense interval workouts I can do at home (video) and weights. Could you help me with a basic schedule that implements all these things? A schedule/routine is enough motivation. And could you recommend videos or stuff online I could workout to? I like a challenge. I need to get back in the game Thank you for motivating me!

What if u finally found the motivation n energy to go for it, only to get the opposite results? I seem to get fatter if I actually work out...😒 Think it messes with my cortisol
