RIP Wan Yihwa’s mother who recently passed away from liver cancer. Now the three kids are all alone 😢

I am empathetic with Yihwa's circumstance because I am in her shoes, so I know all the struggles she has been going through. Language barrier is the major issue impeding immigrants and refugees from resettling in a new place. Children from immigrant or refugee families have to force themselves to grow up faster to take care of their parents and manage all the paperwork. They reluctantly become the primary custodian in the family. My condolence to your loss, Yihwa. I wish the best things happen to you cause you deserve it. ❤

As a immigrant child who moved to Canada fleeing war in Somalia, I understand interpreting for parents and how hard my mother worked to get us to Canada and what she went through. Beautiful work raising your children mom, I promise it will get better. All 7 of us kids have graduated college/university and are flourishing with families of our own. Keep up the great work kids your also working hard and I hope your grow up strong and healthy. 👏🏾👏🏾

Only got to know her mum passed away during the her recent performance on immortal songs. It must be tough on her having to deal with her loss and having to take the time if taking care of her younger brothers. Hope there’s some kind souls in the music industry who could extend a helping hand to her.

Her Mum is so beautiful and gentle. She is poor but she carries herself like a princess. So sad she passed away at such young age.

This show it’s what I would call as NATO - No Action Talk Only - tv program. The panel would just talk n give comments like “oohh, awe, oh dear, how sad, etc”, But No suggestions nor ideas to help financially, support etc for those who are featured on their program. It’s a disappointment…..

Sadly I heard her mother dead so now she’s alone with her two brothers, Yihwa is nice poor girl she already had miserable life when her dad dead and the war in her country and now her mother gone what a hardship for a little girl 😔 she still was trying to get by I hope there’s someone who will help her so she can still be together with her brothers and help her get her singing career because she need it right now that she’s an orphan I’m scared for her and her brothers. I hope her mother Rest In Peace I know it was not easy for her going like this knowing she’s leaving her kids alone behind her in a foreigner country without relatives

I am very proud of Martha she can translate everything to her mom! But as she is Karen or poe Karen, I wish she also learn how to speak her real own language! Martha going to cry a lot watching her old videos with her mom, be strong Martha we love you!

This child is an absolute ANGEL for her family. Just an amazing child. How long ago did this air? Given what happened to her Mother- Who is taking care of these children now? Are they still living in Korea?

I feel really sad for the mother and her kid! Mather mother was a single mom, she lost her husband when Martha was only 2 or 3 years old! She have to raise her kid alone and it was very difficult to her! Movie to Korean is not easy for her, have to work so hard to support her family and did not have time to spend with her kid! It really hard for her! She just get a little better life see her kid are well now, but why she sudden have to suffer for cancer, let she live and watch over her kid and happy with her kid, coz she deserves it! But why she have to die! Life! Her kid have to live alone and take care each other, they so young they need both mom and dad but they lost both of them! It very sad! Hope Martha mom and dad met each other in heaven!

Then as a mother, start learning the language of the new country. My own mother lives in US for 35 years and refuse to learn. 🙄 While I speak 3 languages, the mind is capable of learning when you put in effort.

If she was in Norway she would get 95% free surgery 🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴❤️
